The Late Late Show with James Corden

The Late Late Show with James Corden

3 роки тому

In this 19-minute monologue, we go on a journey exploring which movie star has the most pedestrian name, helping James figure out how to actually be friends with Chris Pratt, wishing our cameraman Joel a happy birthday and meeting Guillermo's backup drummer in case his wife goes into labor during the show. And eventually we cover some headlines, which leads to James learning about what a homecoming dance.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

The fact is - James open dialogue & rapport w the band exceeds all other Host/Band rapport on any late night show. He and Reggie's and The Band 's banter is not only the closest thing to Letterman & Paul - It is, in fact, more welcoming, warm, refreshing and hilarious

I kinda really like how this show is being more and more open about how unimportant headlines are for itself. By the time it airs, any jokes they come up with will almost certainly have already been made by like 6 other shows. And audiences have probably already heard at least 2 of them. So the only way to breakout is to just skip it and go for comedy based on something other than what's in the news.

@@katieorr3903 you are right, I also think he knew that before, but he wasn't close to them like now. Sometimes when people say this actor / actress is so humble, he/she know my name, I think; when you work with or for him/her, that is the least he/she should know about you after a month. Because that is the minimum of respect! I'm not talking about real African or Latino names (they are tricky). My boss for example know not only anyone who works for him, he also know their partner and what our hobbies are. Don't you have in the US Christmas dinner with boss, coworkers and their partners and BBQ evening with boss and coworkers in the summer? That is the place where you learn more about your coworkers and boss.

When James first went to America and got this show I watched 2 or three, then stopped - too shouty, too brash. BUT... this last year it's become my "go-to" for funny. I agree with comments below - I'd watch a whole show of him and the staff just fricking about for fun. I actually think maybe they should do "spots" where we learn a little more about the staff. I actually switch off when the guests show up - much more interested in the opening. Don't care who has a book / film / series / album out.... I care about belly-laughing at properly funny humour. If anyone in a position of power is reading - the improv monologue is whats getting attention, not a 3 minute Brad Pitt interview. More banter, less promotion. Please. I want to know more about the band, the camera crew - the general crew... more important to me than some film made under covid...

My 6 year old just ran in the room and said "That sounds like high-five!". Good ear, kid!

I love how even the cameraman has the best comedic timing. someone who chose to stay off screen (not like eg the band) and yet he is funny and entertaining.

I love getting to know all the people behind the scenes so much. This whole group is golden. Please keep this up when we get back to more normal times. I love the band and the production and film crew so much! Cracks me up and reminds me of what its like to work with people in an office again. This keeps me going!

I beg to differ. I look forward to these videos every day. This team is my favorite late night show. I think you all are hysterical and work so well together. You bounce jokes off each other...brings me so much happiness to see you all. Thank you! You've made the pandemic more bearable.

Never watched LLS before pandemic (apart for carpool karaoke), now it’s the funniest late night show because of this banter and energy in the room.

I love this longer informal monologue! It makes me feel like I'm there in studio with them while they are recording. There were some real flashes of comedy gold today!

I'd love to see Craig Ferguson as a guest on this show. The more your format breaks down, the more I'm reminded of him. It's fantastic! 👍👍

I'm with you on that! I loved watching Craig Ferguson's show simply because of how he just went whatever direction the hilarity took him and was proud to announce to anyone that he didn't give a shit because it was fun. And I absolutely love the late late show and how James Cordon involves everyone in the studio by asking their opinion or poking fun even at himself! I hope it doesn't change
