For the Good Ending, they could have taken Sonic's foot with them, and he would have surgery to reattach his foot to his leg.

The Bad Ending: Both Sonic & Tails couldn't escape in time because of the moments they had before their deaths and they didn't have enough time left (as shown in the actual game), chained up in the water together. Sonic not even taking another bubble water when Tails died is also death.

The good ending makes me think in Aquaman, when he cut his hand off to released himself and saves his son in Justice League the animated series.

The worst ending involves Sonic being drowned for the rest of eternity wishing he could either gain a life to start over or to just die rather then live in the agonizing pain of drowning consistantly and yet still being forced to live as if completely alive.
