In the level, they actually have planned the assault. When you get to the house, Ozone hits the kitchen, Scarecrow breaches the basement, and you and Ghost attack the main room (though you can breach with any of the other two if you want). If you let the AI do it's thing and follow Ghost, he will actually clear the main hall pretty quickly, then flashbang and clear (by fucking doming it's sole occupant) the office on the right. He then moves to the small dining room and kills the enemies, reloads, and then moves through the kitchen and holds position on the stairs. Ozone guards the kitchen to make sure nobody gets through, and Scarecrow does the same in the basement. When you clear the top, Scarecrow will leave the basement and cover your back. When that's done you then move with Scarecrow and clear out the two rooms in the basement (if you breached with Ozone or Scarecrow, then you likely cleared the basement first, so Scarecrow just comes upstairs after you've wiped out the basement tangos). Then, the team reconvenes in the living room and discusses next steps. You install the DSM to get Makarov's computer files, while Scarecrow gathers evidence by photographing the maps and plans that were not destroyed. Ozone covers the front entrance to the basement, Scarecrow guards the DSM, and Ghost posts himself in the office. Then the enemies come. And, Ozone has an unfortunate tendency to die here because he just gets assaulted, has no cover as he stands in front of the door, and faces assault rifles, shotguns, RPG teams, and grenades. If you guard him until the first wave ends (or before it even begins), and go to the front lawn facing where you infiltrated from, he will instead move to the living room with Scarecrow and cover the front lawn from the windows. Mainly because four Little Birds with four men each come in and drop trow on the front lawn. So it has some structure to it, and they exercise alright breaching practices. I have played this level too many times. And I . . . died a lot on Veteran. So, I have a good memory of the level. Also, like most allies in the game that aren't important to the story, Ozone and Scarecrow have different appearances and loadouts each playthrough. They have pretty much any NATO assault rifle in the mainstream. They're packin': TAVOR TAR-21s, FN SCAR-Hs, Colt M4A1s, Colt M16A4s, and Remington ACRs. Ghost just always has an ACR with an ACOG scope. So yes, as Cameron says, the Task Force-141 guys get the fun toys. Post Scriptum: Frankly, I don't even know why I am typing this . . . other than a Monster-fueled and addle-brained rant being my only answer. And, spending way too much time playing MW2s campaign. That didn't help.

Yup. Its a lightweight, compact, PDW with a capacity of fifty rounds that's small enough to be concealed under a jacket. US Secret Service uses them, bodyguards/VIP protection teams are known to use them, a few SWAT teams in the US use them, Mexican SF uses them, and a few other SF teams in Latin America are known to field them as well. Peruvian SF actually have used P90s in combat and reported it was effective enough at short range. But as far as I know, no SF unit under USSOCOM/JSOC are known to use them, the MP7 seems to be preferred instead. Cool gun, lots of firepower in a small package, low recoil, flat shooting, can penetrate body armor, but the "stopping power" (a debatable concept) is similar to .22 Magnum on steroids, so it requires proper shot placement or short bursts to the center mass region or the head. But for what it's designed to do? The P90 is a very nasty close range weapon that shines when opponents are wearing body armor. NATO just approved 5.7x28mm as the standard PDW cartridge, even though many years ago when NATO tried to adopt it the Germans objected and argued their 4.6x30mm MP7 and cartridge were superior. I guess HK got over it because DEVGRU and the Bin Laden raid gave them the greatest advertisement since the SAS kicked down the doors of the Iranian embassy in London wielding MP5s in 1980. They could still easily offer the MP7 in 5.7mm if they wanted to, since there are actually more countries and agencies that use the P90 than the MP7, but the MP7 has the prestige and HK name behind it. As a result of the NATO adoption, I anticipate we will be seeing more use of 5.7mm in the future and see new platforms designed around it.

"Is the P90 a Bullpup?" Google commandos everywhere, realising they can get one over US troops: "Our time has come!" Aside, I have just googled, and I think the P90 is considered a bullpup. The main consideration is whether the firing mechanism is in front of or behind the trigger, which it is behind for the P90 which makes it a bullpup. With a weird ass magazine designed by space aliens. (We're not arguing effectiveness here. The demands of weapons change year by year.. That time has passed, and the P90 remains to shoot people with, same as any other gun back then and now.)

The idea for the P90 was to have a light and compact weapon for rear line troops and vehicle crews but one that also could penetrate body armor in case of attack by, say, Soviet Paratroopers. The magazine was designed to make it less likely to catch on things as you drove trucks and the like.

P90 is a bullpup system, where the feed from the mag to the action happens in that circular portion, rear of the firing hand. Fun fact, P90 loads from 50-round box mags, where the rounds are oriented with the bullet end facing the right side of the mag, and actually rotate 90° CCW to face the breech as they drop down into the gun itself. The 5.7x28 rounds are a lot like underpowered 5.56, roughly similar to .22 Win Mag in mass and velocity. Still, a lot of zip in such a small box.

One thing I've always loved/hated in video games is squad tactics of the npc's. Especially after joining the Marines and learning how imperative it is to react to one another. Which BD is reaction to ambush? I don't think the P90 is bullpup. It feeds at the end of the mag closest to the muzzle, where the rounds rotate 90 degrees through the little disc to face towards the enemy so you can stack 50 of them widthwise from back to front Have you ever used the tripwire-activated claymores from Battlefield 4? How real are those?

The FN P90 is a bullpup Personal Defense Weapon, chambered in the 5.7x28mm round. It feeds from a top-loading 50 round magazine that stacks the rounds perpendicular to the weapon and feeds down a ramp that rotates the round to be in line with the chamber, and ejects the spent brass out the bottom of the weapon. It is fully ambidextrous, and houses a 10.4in barrel in a weapon that is 19.9in long. Rate of fire is 850-1100 rpm, and utilizes a straight blowback, closed bolt firing system, with a muzzle velocity of 715m/s. Effective range of 200m with a maximum of 1800m.

P90 is the first personal defense weapon that use SS90, small but powerful enough to penetrate some armor. It was designed to be used by non-combatant personal such as chopper crew (like in black hawk down, the mp5 that used by the pliot from super64) but turns out it is so good design that trained personal use them as well, such as spec-ops and law enforcement unit. Featuring a compact bullpup design, 50 rounds transparent magazine, small size and minimal maintenance required. And I looked it up not because of COD, but because of metal gear 4 (yes, the ladies unit use them.)

I was a gunner in the Navy and I went to gunner school in Chicago. My roommate and I went to a gun show in Indiana and he actually bought a P90 and a red dot. The civilian version is called the PS90 but it was fun to fire. 80 round mag of 5.7 and yes its considered a bullpup. Loading that mag is a pain tho. The round actually rotates down as it's being chambered
@GiuseppeSimonetti
@GiuseppeSimonetti 2 роки тому
The biggest problem with an ambush like that is friendly fire, things get hectic. No gamer tags in the real world. Update: 1) they discussed the friendly fire aspect as I was writing and 2) The FN P90 is a bullpup PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) chambered in 5.7x28. It pairs well with the FN 5.7.
