The 2022 date on this one was brutal. Crazy to think the game was supposedly only 10% done at this point. They really made this as early as they possibly could.

Does anyone else come back to this trailer to listen to what could have been? The new Splattack! sounds fine, but this one, THIS ONE, is what could have been a true master-piece.

I was 11 when Splatoon first came out and I absolutely feel in love with everything it had to do with this game. The vibe, music, colors, story, gameplay mechanics, events and so much more. I met wonderful people of this community because of this game and I learned how to enjoy the everything each game haves to offer. Unique experiences. Now I’m gonna be 18, graduating highschool. And my hype for this franchise hasn’t die yet, not even a little bit. Can’t wait to have the three hard copies of this amazing trilogy together on my hands already. Since they forever will be stuck in my heart and mind forever, thank you Nintendo.

I'm just noticing that the inkling girl with the sloshing machine bounced it like a basket ball and caught it at 2:15 I recommend putting it on 0.25x to watch it. It's a really cool animation for sloshers

Who else came back to the trailer to notice the differences in the game like the deep cut studio being a wall and a staircase in the vendor alley?

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the Smallfry redemption arc? They went from being maniacal bloodlust children that everyone hated with the burning passion of a thousand suns...to being your companion, your friend who's there for you in this now barren world. I'm happy for them.

This Was Two Years Ago I Feel Old

If you understood the lore of Splatoon, you’d see that this is twice the post-apocalypse.

Now here I am, now competing with some of the greatest players out there getting ready for side order.

It’s interesting they changed some of the animations from the tutorial section to include the Tri Slinger, just for this reveal trailer, possibly to show off the new weapon type.

I have a theory of why this new inkling has no left tentacle. New inkling was wearing the classic hippie haircut while working a salmon run. She happened to see interest in one of the eggs and was caught by one of the chum which bit at her hair. After the new haircut had the new inkling interested in her hair as well. So, she put it into a braid so it wouldn’t grow after the chum bite and also had one of the golden eggs. But instead of telling the truth to Grizz he let her go. She hid the golden egg and held onto it for years until after chaos won and the apocalypse came. During the time “new inkling” noticed it hatched and kept the small fry, with her naming it “Buddy”.
