@@maahes7139 The Canucks got 50 wins, the Jets did not. Oh, and when's a team from Winnipeg ever made the Stanley Cup Finals, or even gotten past the 2nd round? I think it was about 19-never! As much as the Canucks have struggled with playoff success, they've at least had 1982, 1994 and 2011. Oh, and the Canucks have never lost a semi finals series.

Honestly as a canuck fan I'm happy with this game. Demko was properly tested and after his confidence boost with calgary the jets put him on his toes right before the playoffs. We had 2 post hits and many good scoring chances as well and a good job at keeping posession. And even for the jets being able to redeem themselves before the playoffs. I want a canadian team to win this year!! Nucks, jets, oilers (last and least) or even the Leafs!! BRING IT HOME BOYS!!!!

@@CJK57 by my observation (I haven't watched every single game so maybe I missed one or two) Hellebyuck has allowed one goal all season from a mistake playing the puck. That is pretty darn good for a guy who plays the puck as much as he does.

JETS FANS: I have been watching this team for 30+ years. This year's roster is the deepest I've ever seen. The forward depth is A+, the goalies also A+. The only weakness is defencemen, where Id say B. If they can beat COL while staying mostly healthy, they should make it to the Cup finals.

Ok I'm done defending Petey. 11 million dollars a season too fall all over the ice. He is making 2 more million a season than Alexander Ovechkin , arguably the greatest goal scorer of all time !! That was a WEAK defensive play by Sousy behind the net of Demko. He should know better.the Canucks needs to also do better when it comes to line changes, they do it at the worst times. That was a big risk for Hughes to feed through everyone just to get it across to the right side, they were 6 on 5 and had plenty of time, he’s the Captain and he should have better control than that, it’s just shows lack of character on his part, meaning he chokes under pressure. Maybe this game didn’t mean anything, sounds like excuses if they’re thinking that way. They need to clean up their acts once playoffs start coz there won’t be anymore excuses, or else their last one will be “it’s ok boys, we played well all season, let’s focus next season and just enjoy the summer with our families.” LMFAO…..!!!!!!

Look, I really want to say I've been pleased with Nikita Zadorov and how he has helped this Canucks team, but to be honest, I'm not at all happy with his complete hot-headedness. He will make himself a very easy target moving forward, and the sooner he gets a hold of himself, the better. His discipline is almost frighteningly bad.

I'd say it's way better then Myres, and the difference between the undisciplined penalties Myres usually takes and the ones Zedorov usually takes are night and day. Myres is usually for some lazy trip or something, Zedorov is usually because he plays a physical game with an edge and sometimes that gets on the wrong side of the refs. I expect players who dish out a lot of hard hits to get a few penalties here and there. That's why we've got Demko, Joshua, Suter, etc. Zedorov or Laverty gets a bit too exuberant in a hit, the PK and Demko go to work making sure it doesn't cost us.

@@JesusFriedChrist True, though Lindholm's been playing much better since taking a few games off to heal from whatever injury's been nagging at him for a while. Even got a goal this game. And given how many guns we already have, if Lindholm can just shut down the other team's top guy and chip in with a few points here and there, and help us get a deep run, I'll be happy with him.

Every GM looking to upgrade their goaltending was watching this game, Brossoit will be a UFA and will almost definitely be the starter wherever he signs. The two playoff teams who aren't going anywhere without a decent goalie right now are Toronto and Colorado, if their offense didn't put up 4+ goals they didn't win because their goalies are no better than cardboard cutouts, you can bet they'll both be looking to sign Bro to a $30-$40 million contract in the 5-6 year/$6-$7 million per season range as a real starting goalie who can actually steal a game or even a series. Bro's earned it. He could end up anywhere, maybe even back in Vegas, but those two teams would have a far better shot at the Cup if they had Brossoit in net in these playoffs and both GMs were probably thinking that very thing while they watched this game.

@@griggbaylee5808 Oilers might be able to score 4 or 5 against teams like Colorado and Toronto but not against teams like the Jets and Canucks. They need to be able to play defensive and rely on their goalie once they have a lead, and they simply can't do that, it's all offence all the time or go home. The Oilers can't win low scoring defensive games against teams that can pick their defence apart while shutting the Oilers down at the same time. The Oiler got lucky and drew the Kings in Round 1, they should be able to beat them with high scoring offence and the Kings don't have much to counter with but they do have a stingy defence. Oilers in 6. They would have had a great high scoring series against the Avs but the Jets are going to tear them apart in 5, maybe even a sweep. No way the Avs score 4+ goals per game against them, and they might need more than that as the Jets have shown they can score almost at will against the Avs and shut down their offence. Oilers would be wise to consider joining the bidding war for Brossoit this summer.
