Funny Farm
@GuadalupePicasso4 роки тому
Impatief I’ve had it saved in my phone’s notes for 5 years now, but I’ll never forget the one time that I asked a friend in Central Ireland for her address, so that I could catch a taxi. She said, “Where I live, there are no addresses”, as she typed in “go three miles past the village, past the three houses on the left, and I’m then the first one past the stone fence, with the green door. If you reach the cemetery, you’ve gone too far.” I got there super late, when she and her family were already in bed, so she said that she’d leave the aforementioned green door unlocked for me. Given the nature of the directions, I was beyond relieved to see them in the morning, knowing that I had indeed slept on the correct couch.

And since we are revealing hidden truths about slavery, why not talk about the fact that slavery in some form was widely accepted in most cultures at the time, why not talk about the fact that slavery in Gaelic Ireland stopped spontaneously by the 13th century. I'm Dominican that learned English out TV and movies and I understood her completely. Also here we speak so fast even I don't know what I say when I replay voice notes. 😂
@STEVENWHELAN14 роки тому
@@makatron Yes, you understand her because she slows down, my point exactly!

@@STEVENWHELAN1 true, I've seen it I person and is like speaking in hyperdrive, same with us in Spanish speaking like we're always in a hurry

Omg-I had an Irish boyfriend for several years and this brings it all back. He was from “da deepest bog inside da deepest big in all of Kerry.” Goddamn she is funny, and this reminds me so much of him. He used to make me laugh so hard that I would literally shed tears

Glad I'm not the only one who feels awkward around young hot male docs! lol
@miaschu81753 роки тому
The most handsome doctor, with kind eyes and a deep, soothing voice, came to my hospital bed, where I couldn't move due to incredible pain, and all I could think was, "You're too gorgeous to be an NHS doctor. Please can I have the old one with an abrupt bedside manner and halitosis. There's gotta be one like that, here, somewhere." 😆
