Basing it on my recent experience with FarCry6 , the AI will be absolutely broken and dumber than the most basic enemy npc 20 years ago. All that said I can’t wait to buy the game 6 months after the release on a -80% sale.

I'm amazed how Ubisoft can deliver so different games yet they are so identical to each other.

Good on Jack for getting the bag, but the fact that Ubisoft is paying people to just talk about the game without actually providing anything new and fresh but a sub-3 minute story trailer is a pretty bad sign IMO.

Already know where this is going like all Star Wars media. You start as a "outlaw bad guy" and eventually you will join the rebels and fight the empire as a good little girl that you are.

I have never been so hesitant with a Star Wars game. But it's Ubisoft, they haven't made a good game for years

It’s a Ubisoft game. It will have their signature blueprint, go here, open map more up, go there, more missions. Most Ubi games are pretty well optimized at launch as well so I think if expectations are tempered it will be a good game. They did well with Avatar.

Ubisoft has fumbled so many touchdown plays lately that I'm hesitant to get too excited about this title. Speaking as a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise, I want to believe this game will be an incredible experience but I know better than to place any unwarranted faith in Ubi to truly capitalize on a great opportunity like this. I'll keep my eyes on the progress, but until I see some reviews and gameplay on release I won't be spending a dime.

The Snowdrop engine created by Massive Entertainment is absolutely fantastic graphics-wise. This game is going to be visually extremely pleasing for sure. I generally don't like Ubisoft though, but one has to remember that Massive Entertainment is just a Swedish studio that Ubisoft aquired - the quality from different studios may still vary. That said, we won't know if the gameplay and story will be good before the game is out.

performance will no doubt plague this game at release. some of the sneeky stuff looks pretty fun, but the actual shooting looks really rough.

Though I doubt this will ever reach the potential of _Star Wars 1313_ or _Project Ragtag_ - _Massive_ are know for delivering decent-sized games with fairly-enjoyable 100-hour playthroughs. But its still a Ubisoft game, so... be on yer guard 😬

I appreciate that this video cut between the new story trailer and the previous gameplay footage. In doing so, it really looks like they've made some downgrades. Maybe due to the performance of Avatar? Although, I had no issues and did the modification to push the graphics even further. Just looking at the characters, the gameplay footage from months ago features some cut scenes as well, but there's more depth to them- especially so in the lighting. I'm hoping for a decent game, that's where the bar is right now and I'll probably sub to Ubisoft+ to check it out at some point.

If there's one thing they can do right, it's the environments. Both The Division 1 and 2 had amazing location designs. They know how to set the scene and immerse the player in the game world. The engine also allows for good optimization so I'm hoping it will also play well. Im a bit skeptical though, because you can't really trust studios lately to release a game without having some sort of issues, be it bugs, glitches, poor optimization or lack of content. Not to mention in game purchases which have no place in a single player title, but Ubisoft seems to have a different opinion on that topic. I honestly hope it's a good game. I guess we'll see pretty soon.

If Ubisoft just re-skinned Assassin's Creed Black Flag, where we played as Star Wars era bounty hunters/mercenaries, I'd play the hell out of that game. Let me create my character, run around the WHOLE MAP doing pop-up quests, raiding bases, and hunting bounties, then when I'm done, finish the storyline.

the main character appearance is not even close to Humberly González the person the main character modeled after indicating that DEI sweet baby inc is involved heavily in this game development.

None of the environmental physics will make it into the final game. Also they will hit her with the ugly stick a few more times before release.

When they say open world I really hope that this is open world like middle earth shadow of war or assassins creed odyssey and not like jedi fallen order, I hope Im not limited to the locations / planets I can visit or interact with because I like, dont have enough reputation or good enough ship parts to get there (like I dont have force push unlocked or dont have wall running) blocking you off from places to come back later. (it ends up feeling like im playing a linear level 1 2 and 3 with invisible walls disguised as open world) Ya know if its open world then let just me go where I want please dont make me unlock things and come back later just let me go there from the beginning.

No skill tree? No looting? Weapon bench? Trading? Anything?
