That’s the part I have the most issue with. I don’t have an opinion on the marketplace as I’m still given opportunities to do just about anything with the vanilla game, so asking for money for the work of people, who did such work for you, to just get isn’t really anything that I care much about. However, across the board, not just on Switch, I think they really need to re-optimize their Marketplace. There’s so many ways they could do it better, but it almost feels like the people in charge of it were in charge of how much a mess the Xbox main system Menus are on their own platform. It’s like inheriting the same less-user friendly mindset as those of us who own Xboxes up through Series X has to go through, but to all Minecraft audiences. (Speaking, I’m still miffed MS couldn’t be bothered to actually, I don’t know, optimize an actual version of Minecraft for current Gen Xboxes either. So Marketplace pains on the Switch, are reflected also on Series X, just at a somewhat lesser degree due to the power difference. (Still terribly optimized))

@@akaimizu1 that's what sales are for lol screw the filters for what I already own and when the sale ends. Ntdeals and trueachievements helps switch and Xbox much better though I know ntdeals may not have every game but they will by the next time it frequently goes on sale.

I don't see why it's so offensive. Perhaps they're putting development features elsewhere, into the spinoff games and such. This gives smaller Minecraft developers a chance to make some money from texture packs and adventure maps for once. Also, I haven't played Minecraft in a while so correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Minecraft get an overhaul with updates in the past couple of years?

Then they'll want your birth certificate to make sure you really are that person. When your information is stolen because their database wasn't secure enough, do you really want someone impersonating you somewhere out there in your country or even another country? The latter would be terrifying if you ever had to travel to that country and get put in jail for something you didn't do.

Completely agree, as someone who uses this on Switch and on Xbox Series X. They need to fix and/or optimize this, for all platforms. It’s like there’s a bit of jealously regardless of which version I play. On one hand, the sheer power of Series X pseudo covers up some serious Marketplace optimizing and arrangement issues. On the other hand, the main game itself feels way more optimized for the platform on Switch than the lack of effort they gave Series X.

When it doesn't work for me when I want to buy something, I uninstall and reinstall the game. That temporarily fixes it for me, but it's annoying af.

@@garrisonsides Minecraft java has a few options for optimisation such as sodium or optifine. There's also a minecraft java server plugin by the name of geysermc that allows bedrock players to join and play on java servers. And even in vanilla with no optimisations or modifications i find java to be a much more stable game compared to my time playing on the mobile, windows 10 and nintendo switch versions of bedrock edition.

I haven’t played Minecraft in a while, but I believe this is simply an in game storefront where you can buy various maps, skins, and other stuff.

Honestly while Legacy Console DID have a marketplace, it was kept in check, and the smooth streamlined gameplay more than made up for it.
