I ordered my deck on Friday and it should arrive tomorrow or day after and I'm SO EXCITED. I'm a 27 yo and haven't been this excited for a product like this since I was a teenager. Its actually really nice.

For a second I thought that Australia would finally get a steam deck, but I guess we will have to wait a while longer :(

Might be worth mentioning that the Display Port on the Dock supports FreeSync, that is the killer feature that elevates it above all other available docks. FreeSync is listed in the specs, but it is a bit hidden.

Valve is one of the last companies that actually wants to add value to their products instead of simply raising their profits. Their moral is, if they make products of value, people will buy them and stay in the long run. I think that's the most wonderful moral a company could ever have. Compared to other Gaming companies, this feels so nice and personal

I got my Steam Deck two weeks ago, and I really couldn't be happier with it! Sure, there are little things to learn here and there, but it isn't simplified in every aspect, so there's a lot of potential to grow and use it in different ways. Good job on this entire project Valve. It's a winner. I love my deck! (And thank you for keeping the platform open to non-Steam games and apps!) If a more powerful Steam Deck releases in the future (hopefully many years from now, too soon would be silly), I would gladly invest in it if I need the added power. For the moment, I can't see any games on the horizon that could make me feel that way, though. That's a good thing, Valve. It's incredible this chonky handheld can play Cyberpunk 2077, other high graphical requirement games, and basically any third-party emu (retro and newer, up to ps3). I think I heard that Microsoft also released software to give access to your Xbox library on the Steam Deck, too. Makes my head spin the support this thing is receiving. Thank you for, as Nintendo did but better, showing the gaming industry how portable gaming is done.

I love the steam deck and I also love the new big picture replacement (Steam decks UI) for PC it is so close to perfection just needs background music and ability to customise the music/theme of it on windows pc

Hey valve, i love what you are doing, but i would like to mention a one thing that is bothering me - i am using terminal a lot, and what i am missing is a full keyboard - i.e. control,alt,and meta keys (and function optionally), I would love to see that some time in the future - i belive it's just a question of slightly modifying the keyboard mapping. Please keep up the good work!

Thanks for the dedication! I have my Steam Deck since March and it's going everywhere with me. I do think the price of the docking station is a bit hefty, though. Looking forward to what's ahead in the future. The SD is such a game changer! (see what I did there)

Oh boy, I've always wanted a Deck of my own! I can't wait to play with my deck on the bus or the park... don't have to wait til I get home, i can just whip my big black deck out anywhere and play with it whenever! I can't wait to show my deck to my coworkers, and I definitely will want to share my deck with my kids. They'll love playing with my deck! Especially with all the new features- you don't want your deck to be too sensitive when someone's touching and poking at your deck.

I really, really, reaaaaaly appreciate Valve for using the reservation system for their consoles. That was very smart and thoughtful of them. Didn't have to wait no 1-2 yrs because scalpers bought them all. I wish other video game companies would eventually do the same.

Hey Valve, I have seen some community test chambers that use your unused adhesion gel. I cannot figure out how to do this, but it would be nice if you could add it to the create your own test chamber menu. It would also be cool if when your in editor mode and you hit "file" there would be a checkbox right below the optional co op mode that would allow you to switch between underground and above ground facility. Lastly, I would love it if you could add your own GLaDOS and Cave Jhonson dialouge at the beggining of each test.

Do yourself a favour and make a short showing that the dock fits in the back of the carry case as none of them deck channels seem to realise/mention this in there docking videos and personally I'll probably never move my dock but I love that it fits just incase, keep up the good work and make us a new controller 🤞🏻

I'm so glad that the steam deck doesn't need a reservation anymore. But i won't buy one because I won't use it enough for the price of it. But I know this is perfect for other people and I'm very impressed on how open valve is with their products.

I got both Steam Deck and SD Dock(I mean that I bought it, still waiting for it), next I’ll start saving for Valve Index, but since it’s little bit more expensive it’ll take me few months. BTW Valve while you are at it how about making some bangers video games like Half-Life 2 Episode 3, Half-Life 3, Left for Dead 3, Portal 3,new CS, TF 3 or perhaps few new IPs? That would be cool.

I used to buy gaming laptops cause I travel across states a lot and like taking my library with me. With smart phones being what they are, I dont need my laptop for basic internet browsing anymore. And with the Deck, I dont need a gaming laptop either on my cross state trips. Is the Deck as strong as a top of the line gaming laptop? No. But its damn powerful and has a lot of versatility. If it can run up to PS4 era with absolutely no issue its good enough for me, seeing how I have a massive backlog anyway and am still playing games from 2014 lol. the extreme user versatility and desktop mode is a massive plus. If they come out with a Deck 2 in a couple of years Ill be first in line.
