It's a shame he lacked wisdom in other areas: "Jobs resisted his doctors' recommendations for medical intervention for nine months,[165] in favor of alternative medicine. Other doctors agree that Jobs's diet was insufficient to address his disease. However, cancer researcher and alternative medicine critic David Gorski wrote that "it's impossible to know whether and by how much he might have decreased his chances of surviving his cancer through his flirtation with woo. My best guess was that Jobs probably only modestly decreased his chances of survival, if that."[166][167] Barrie R. Cassileth, the chief of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's integrative medicine department,[168] on the other hand, said, "Jobs's faith in alternative medicine likely cost him his life ... He had the only kind of pancreatic cancer that is treatable and curable ... He essentially committed suicide".[169] According to biographer Walter Isaacson, "for nine months he refused to undergo surgery for his pancreatic cancer - a decision he later regretted as his health declined""

40 now, and everything is paid for. Fortunately, I had a college economics teacher who taught me a lesson when I was 18 years old. That lesson was: you can't buy something else for every purchase you make. Having multiple sources of income is prudent, as is living within your means. I have a 13-year-old vehicle because it is all I need, I like it, and I can do whatever I want with it. My net worth is $4 million, and I can pay my bills without stress, but I don't live like I have that. I have no complaints.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. Whenever I feel low or depressed, or overly joyful, I come back here to hear these great words. It is powerful! as it is nothing but the truth. This speech is more valuable for me than my iPhone or MAC. Thank you, Steve Jobs, for inspiring me and many more like me to continue the road less traveled. Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Commencement Address is a timeless masterpiece that resonates with me on a deeply emotional level. His words are a poignant reminder that our time on Earth is limited, and we must have the courage to follow our hearts and intuition. The vulnerability and authenticity in Jobs' speech are truly inspiring, as he shares his own personal journey of setbacks and triumphs. This address has the power to awaken a sense of purpose within each of us, urging us to embrace our passions and make a meaningful impact in the world. Thank you, Steve Jobs, for leaving behind such a profound legacy of innovation, wisdom, and the pursuit of our dreams. This speech will forever be etched in my heart.

The main difference is how many people would actually do something about it. I’m willing to bet that every 9 out of 10 people that watched this video took what Steve said on board, but just either lacked the stability (by that I don’t mean in a mental sense) or the courage to actually do something about it.
