Honestly, I know Disney was too scared to have anything but hetero white love stories, but first they teased Clint and Natasha just to throw that out for no reason. Half assedly throw her at Bruce just to never talk about it again. Then they introduce Sharon just to do her character so dirty, and relegate her to the sidelines after one kiss out of nowhere. And the entire damn time they had a great set up for a friends to lovers story with Steve and Nat.

Here’s my theory: When Steve went to put the stones back,he never told Sam who he got married to, and in Civil war,We can clearly see Peggy was married and had kids with another man. Anyways,keep that in mind.When he went back in time,He had his last dance with Peggy to get it of his shoulders and then let her marry that random dood XD. (Btw steve had Pym particals) After that,he needed to put the soul stone back,so,he exchanged the soul stone for Natasha,and therefor since all the stones had been returned,the snap wouldn’t of happened,(going from Maria’s theory with da baby) And so,The baby wouldn’t of been snapped,So,Steve brought Nat back to the 50’s with him,they got married and had kids,But,they only had one partial left so,they waited until one of them died,and obviously,it was nat ): And that’s the reason Steve returned and did not tell Sam who he married. ( I know I’m gonna get hate from Steve x Peggy shippers but this is my theory not yours so if you have a problem with it,clear off,thanks!)

I’m still pissed that Nat and Steve never happened. Who in the world thought of Brutasha ? They literally had little to none chemistry or interaction in the entire mcu !!! That little moment they had had in Age of ultron was cringe asf and nothing compared to what Steve and Nat had. What Steve and Nat had was more precious and subtle . Just the little things like when they looked at each other or talked to each other or even walked side by side had more depth and chemistry than Bruce and Natasha ever had. Ughhhh I could literally write a whole book on Steve and Nat’s relationship.

i didn’t really pay attention to nat’s actions after the snap in infinity war but now looking at it. she ran to steve immediately, and i could tell she was glad he didn’t die. she seemed shocked, i mean she would be cuz half her family was snapped away but when she put her hand to her stomach and started looking into space, i have a feeling that she was pregnant. yes she couldn’t get pregnant but what if the super soldier serum changed that. they were together for 2-3 years a lot could change in that. plus those staring into each other’s eyes, protecting each other and looking at each other for confirmation at all times like literally endgame is just them looking at each other. i’m soft for them🥺🥺🥺🥰🥰🥰

The fact that "see you in a minute" were their last lines to each others makes it seem like the perfect ending. WHICH IS BAD. NAT CANNOT BE GONE. she was the only female mcu character for 9 fricken years. and NAT AND STEVE must come back and fulfill the prophecy of their OBVIOUS maritalness

My theory is that when Steve went back to return the stone, he got the soul one back first and was able to get Nat back. Then they returned the stones together by going back to Pims lab. After that he went to dance with Peggy but realized that that’s not where his feelings are at and that he lived Nat. And that is why he wouldn’t tell anyone about his girl.

I have a theory that the reason Steve didn't tell Sam about the girl he married is because it was Nat. I think that he went back in time and decided to have his last dance with Peggy so that he would have it off his conscience. I think that when he went to Vormir he exchanged the stone for Nat and brought her back to the 50s with him because after his trip to see Peggy there was only 1 Pym Particle left then he married her and they spent their lives together. Because of the Pym Particle issue they decided to wait until one of them died from natural causes. Nat died first so Steve came back with their wedding ring on his finger and without telling Sam that he married Natasha Romanoff. So yh there's my theory

When I saw the first Avengers movie, I actually thought they were going to set them up as a couple. I didn't read the comics or anything, but it just seemed like they were going to go that route. Then Age Of Ultron came around and caught me off guard. In my opinion, if Natasha and Steve did end up together, it would have felt expected yet nicely so.

After Peggy died in Civil War, I thought, "YES! Now there's nothing holding him back from getting together with Natasha!" And then he moved on from the girl he loved to her niece. **Disappointed sigh**

Honestly it's such a waste of relationship build up. I'm not sure if Marvel did want us to think they are the "endgame" but really has other plans like what just happened. Or they really set it up for them to be together in the end but decided not to on the last minute or movie. Either way it sucks. If you think about it, what happened to Steve when he went back in time to put the Infinity Stones back? He and Peggy barely know each other. So that's really weird for me.

these two act so adorable together! the entire winter soldier movie is essentially them having so much romantic moments and chemistry with each other. i definitely agree that they make more sense together than bruce x natasha, or even peggy x steve. they had the most precious moments together, and after natasha died, steve saw no choice but to go back in time because nat, the main girl who has been by his side and loyal to him during the present, died. overall, it’s just soooo good to see moments like this between them.

Me as an intellectual: Why not have TWS be a slow start of a relationship between Steve and Natasha that grows as each movie has them together with a massive payoff come Endgame with Steve and Natasha moving on from their pasts so they can both live for the present. Together. The writers: *looks around confused, mashes the keyboards in the writer's room and end up with what we have now*

It’s the way they just made SENSE 😭 and then finding out they got together in the comics only made me want to kick the producers in the kneecaps more for not having the movies go that way, especially when everything was basically already set up for it to happen 😩
