Very informative, thanks. I don't currently have an Alexa with screen but use Alexa to directly control any browser on any device. It certainly looks like the 'Show' range would also work with it. It also works with Occulus and allows full Alexa control of that browser too. Launching videos, web pages and even performing web searches. I use this browser system around my pool table to play & stack my chosen music videos onto large screen TV's. Just reel out all of the track numbers you want Alexa to stack, just like a jukebox. If this is of interest, I'd be more than happy to guide you through the setup so that you can use all of this yourself. This goes well beyond just 'Turn it on' and 'Turn it off'. Great video.

Love the echo show. I have set it up to control my smart TV, by being able to turn it off or on by voice command. Handy when hubby walks out leaving the TV on all the time.

I would like to setup a system for an elderly parent. There are a few things that are important. Voice calling and receiving phone calls, scheduled regular TV shows, scheduled Zoom meetings, the ability to fix things remotely and to send pictures.

Does this have the ability to add more than one widget of the same type? If I have say 2 separate "to do" lists or 2 separate "shopping lists" can I have 2 or does it not allow that? If it doesn't, I might be able to avoid the problem by doing one of the lists as a picture (to be specific, we have a list in the kitchen of what food is available in the freezer downstairs so it probably only changes once a week) if there is an easy way to add/delete images (I do have Prime). Help?

I just got an echo show 15, and i was wondering if you can edit the display of the time on the home page. I have my Photos selected for the background and have just 1 picture to display but want to change the way the time is displayed on the screen like I could with my old smaller show. Is this possible?

Hey man, new subscriber here! Great video! A little confused on the lack of Zigbee compatibility functionality. How do I know which devices are still able to work with Alexa and which are using the Zigbee protocol? For example, if I choose to use Ring cameras and the alarm system, smart Yale locks, Ecobee thermostats and smart lighting? Am I still able to have Alexa lock doors, change temperature, activate the alarm, etc? Or do those use the Zigbee protocol and I’m forced to get the Echo Show 10?

Nice video. I just got a show 15 and and have my wyze video doorbell setup to show on it. Is there a routine i can make to make the popup maximize? And a routine to automatically remove itself after one or two minutes? Any help would be great.

You can have the Echo Show 15, or any Echo Show, display a camera view when motion is detected by setting up a routine for a supported camera, by using the "Custom" action feature. For example, in the New Routine setup press "When this happens", select "Smart Home". Choose a supported camera, select "Motion", select "Detected", press "Next". Press "Add Action", select "Custom". Enter "show [camera name]", for example, show Front Door. Press "Next". Press "Choose Device", select the Echo Show that you want the view to displayed on, then press "Save". I should add that the [camera name] should be spelled exactly as it is in the Alexa app including upper/lower case.

If you want to show a camera when motion happens (if Ring supports it like Eufy) then you could maybe use a Routine like I do. If motion is detected I get it to the command "Alexa Show Front Doorbell Camera" and it works. I have another routine that triggers with motion that starts with a wait 2 mins then runs "Alexa Stop showing Front Doorbell Camera" (this is for if the person I set it up for is not home I know it'll at least turn it off after 2mins)

great vid - would love to see more info on the photo mode - can it be set to come on after a while of not being used, does it look really good with paintings?, can it be swipped open/closed from photo mode etc... my main use for this frame is to hide the widgets etc so it looks legitimately like a painting frame and not tech

After the update yesterday you need a amazon fire tv controller gen 3 to control the touchscreen not so touchless anymore.

On the device dashboard on your fire tablet I noticed the red exclamation points on some device cards. Did you find a way to fix that? I had setup some thermostats and now they don't work on the device dashboard. This happened after an update.

I wish the live view would auto pop up with motion detection on the Ring cameras not just the pushed button. Also wish you could speak as well. That and the weather is the only reason I would want it. My kids always ask me what the weather is going to be like

I use the Cook'n Recipe Organizer where it allows me to put all my recipes . Cook'n just announced that you can use your Cook'n Recipe Organizer on Echo Show devices. I'm having trouble getting it to work. Do you have any really detailed instructions on how to do this? Because of this feature, I just bought an Echo Show 15. I really hope someone can help me.

Ok, you are wrong with not being able to watch UKposts on it. Pair a firestick remote to it and you can use the show 15 as a firestick as well. We have ours mounted under our kitchen cabinet and our kids watch UKposts and cartoons on it.

Can I have a constant live stream of ring cameras on the alexa show? For example, If I send my kids outside to play, can I pull up the feed on outdoor ring camera's to see what's going on the whole time my kids are outside, or will it shut off after awhile?

there's an error. you can actually set up a routine to live view your camera upon motion detection. it works for my blink and eufy cameras. not sure if it works on ring.

Unfortunately no. The device only allows one camera view at a time. You can add all of your supported cameras to your Favorites in the Alexa app, then add the Smart Home Favorites to your echo device. This gives you a quick way to view a camera, by scrolling through the widget list and selecting the camera you'd like to view.

I have issues with my echo show 15 and Amazon customer service is no help so I was hoping maybe you might know how to solve my problem. As of several days ago my Show 15 won’t stay on the Home Screen. After 20 seconds it launches Photo Frame. I’ve given up trying to get it to stop since nothing works - factory reset, latest software, no Routines triggering it. I even gave customer support remote access to my device and they couldn’t fix it. Unlike you say in your video, my Photo Frame does display the time and temperature so I decided I would live with it. However I cannot change the length of time photos are displayed. They only stay on screen for 10 seconds. The setting to change the speed doesn’t affect Photo Frame. Can you offer any suggestions? I use an Amazon remote because it has limited touch screen use when streaming videos. I wanted to see if I could attach a DVD player. No info in that respect.
