Strange vocalizations reported from Eastern Kansas, and Upcoming Oklahoma Expedition.

Announcing an upcoming expedition this spring, plus a report of strange vocalizations in the river bottoms of eastern Kansas. Sorry about the background noise. There is a lift station on a gas pipeline about a quarter-mile from where I was standing. Talk about noise pollution.

Thank you! Yes, Mike certainly did experience something strange after hearing the growl. Very similar to what was reported in the alabama sighting.

confusion , time-loss and disorientation are common traits with encountering these creatures, it seems to be a type of defensive mechanism, best advice to to go back the way you came because thats the creatures' way of saying "back off". its important to pay attention to these feelings you get..... do not shrug them off

Cornell suggested that. I may give it a try. It would not be possible in the Kiamichis as there is no cell phone signal at all in the location we are going to. I can probably do a live feed at Mark's place though.

Mountain lions, known to inhabit Kansas, are very good climbers. They can jump straight up into trees, from which they ambush prey. Remember to look up if you hear a growl! Mike reported he did not look upwards during his encounter. I suppose a mountain lion's growls could produce infrasound, but I'm not sure. We're hearing reports of mountain lion activity more frequently in Texas. Within the past three months, one was caught on video cam in Rowlett, a Dallas suburb, and confirmed by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Another lion attacked and killed a man west of Fort Worth, according to the Hood County Sheriff (disputed by Parks and Wildlife).

Hello Dave I been haveing phone problems so I got a lot to catch up on. I am excited to see the footage yall will have during the camp out. Maybe bring some audio of children playing that might bring them back in at Marks old place they may think the children are back home just a thought. Y all be safe and have fun..
