Great Video! This is a kinda out-there prediction, but I think that the main characters will travel back in time to 1983 to try and stop Will from getting kidnapped, or to kill Vecna. If the Upside Down is stuck in 1983 on the day Will went missing, then there should be a gate at Hawkins Lab, which could lead back in time to November 6th 1983.

i STRONGLY believe wills birthday was intentionally “forgotten” and here is my proof: 1. in s4 trailer, argyles truck has a phone number on it and if you were to call it before the actual season came out, it would play happy birthday like reallly creepily. 2. also there’s tons of talk and refrence to birthdays in s4, birthday parties going on in rinkomania, murray talking about a 1 year old forgetting their birthday, will saying “10 bucks mom forgot something” when joyce left ect… 3. when they go to susie’s house, mike says that they need suzie to help them for “dustin’s birthday” and suzie says the EXACT DATE down to the hour to dustin’s birthday-almost signifying that the duffers remember birthdays. 4. the duffers tweeting “some friends forget to play dnd and some forget birthdays” the day after wills birthday. 5. in season 1 and 2 there’s a card on wills wall that says “i forgot your birthday” 6. there’s also official season 4 merch that says “do you know what march 22 is” 7. the duffers also mentioned that they would never cut any scenes and they never will. 8. there’s also rink o mania bts where Will is wearing a shirt that he never wears in that scene which may mean they return back to rink o mania for some reason-maybe for a flashback or vision. 9. there’s also tons of references n stuff to “sixteen candles” which is a show about people forgetting the main characters birthday.

Prediction: The first scene of season five will be a flashback of Will in the upside down. Something about his time and possible relation to Vecna will be revealed, and then we cut to the opener. After that, we will pick right back where we left off after season four (similar to Chris’s prediction). After 20-30 minutes of that, we will jump to November 1987, around the anniversary of Will disappearing. For the last 30-40 of the episode, we will see Hawkins in shambles with a military presence and the citizens forced to quarantine. We will see Dustin visiting Eddie’s grave and talking to him. Eddie will show up in a dream sequence that will foreshadow Dustin being cursed by Vecna. Towards the end of the episode, we will see Max trapped inside her own head and in Vecna’s world. Max will eventually find a way to escape her own mind, and wake up. The last shot of the episode will be a close up of Max dramatically waking up from her coma. Cut to black.

A time jump would be necessary if max is going to really physically participate in s5. Her bones need to heal

One thing can be said for certain though, it’s likely to take place during Christmas season (November-December) because of earlier set pictures/leaks.

I have recently come across some very interesting photos of a military presence at Hawkins high school. And sadly, Joseph Quinn has confirmed he is not returning in S5. Update the actress who plays Kali/008 has not posted anything about stranger things filming meaning either she is on the show are not on the show. And again with more news new set pics of mike and dustin have surfaced with the setting being the high school this means that the school is still open meaning your Christmas theory with the photo at the high school might be true considering Mike's clothes look like they are very warm but again this could just be due to the fact it is really cold in real life.

I think the time jump is at least 2 years, so they should be juniors.

I don't know if I'd like a time-jump though...even though it might make sense, in almost every movie/tv-show where there is a time jump that's more than a year, it's always awkward and confusing, but I'm really excited to see how they'll do this, many time jumps aren't done well but I'm sure they'll make it perfect!

I remember the time jump/time travel talk started because of all the clock imagery in season 4. Even though it was meant to be a clue about the 4 chimes = 4 deaths but still it could be a clue about something else.

also "the wall" poster is for Pink Floyd's The Wall and the song is about how schools mess up kids and makes them mindless drones.That could be the season 5 song (great pick for stranger things) like how running up that hill was season 4. maybe if we watch the music video for the song we could get some potential clues about season 5.

It would be amazing to have a big time jump in season 5 maybe one year or so at the beginning of episode 2 and episode one continuing right after season 4 ended

Something I found interesting that I haven't heard anyone talk about, is that in Season 5 when Eddie dies, they play a Moby song that was released in 1995. I can't think of any other song they've used that was not from the 80's. I doubt they would do that big of a time jump, just found it interesting.

It’s at least half a month after the events of season 4 because Eddie Munson’s uncle doesn’t know about eddie’s death at the very end of the season then it takes at least 4-5 days to get a headstone in a normal town or city but no businesses are open so probably gonna be at least half a month and then people had to have time to find eddie’s grave stone.

I don’t think we will start from where we left off at the end of season 4 considering the cast members are now older and it would be pretty hard to use ai on ALL the characters, unless they had recorded any extra shots. It’s pretty obvious to us now that Eddie WILL appear somehow in the show, I’m pretty worried for Dustin and I’m exited how it’s gonna go down. I have a feeling that the first shots we got with Maya Hawke and Joe Keery and all that would be possibly the first episode and the pictures of Dustin and Eddies grave would be next episode I think. I’m kind of exited with what music they’ll use, if it was set in 89 I would love to hear one of the songs from Nirvanas ‘Bleach’ album play some where in the show. I would expect Mike or Steve to like nirvana maybe even Dustin ?

I think the problem with a time jump is it makes the end of 4 not as threatening of the upside down coming into hockins however if they could explain something like vecna being injured and he was able to close the gates on his own temporarily to give everyone false hope but i feel it would have to be vecna’s plan on why things settled down for years as it sounds like it’s going to be a long time jump. I trust the duffer brothers completely though

i think that it will most likely be winter 1987-1988 it just makes sense, but also i feel like it would make vecna seem like less of a threat if he hadn’t done anything for almost 2 years. either way though, it’ll still be very interesting.

One reason I love Stranger Things is because the kids grow up in the movies. It makes it seem more realistic because this is how real life goes.

I think with the photos that were released we'll get a roughly 2-year time jump - so we'll start in 1988 but I've heard it could be 1989. The leaked photos in November kind of hinted that Christmas was coming or had passed in season 5, but one of the photos had the date 'Saturday, November 21' which happened in 1987. And with that book from 1988, I don't think it's too much of a leap to say 2 years.

It wouldn’t make sense, even if the Time jump is a few episodes after we pick up where we left off, how? If we do pick up from where we left off then Vecna would still be at large, Hawkins would be destroyed, so Hawkins just stays like this for 3-4-5 years? It just wouldn’t make sense. The most logical option would be if everyone evacuated from Hawkins except the main characters, and it’s a 1 month time jump, bc I’m sure Vecna wouldn’t be okay after what Steve and Nancy did to him. 1 month for Vecna to recover.

People are way too obsessed with the fact that people age. When you really think about it, there are whole UKposts channels of young people devoted to calling out anyone older than 25 and claiming that older adults should just go away forever because they are "so cringe". On top of that, we also have people obsessed with skincare, use filters, and having surgery just to not look old.

I think they're just doing the jump to explain the ages, I'm not a fan of time travel I really hope they don't go back in time, or change anything they've already done 🤞🏼

Hey Chris. :D I had a theory of what will happen. So what i think is everyone catching up of who did what and dustin feling left out bc he was with eddie the entire time then goes to his grave but maybe in a future episode i think Vecna will rise out of the big X is hawkins. Lucas will be in the hospital talking or reading books to Max and Eleven will be searching for her and sees her vagely(idk how to spell) Steve and Robin will sitll be at the help center. Jonathan and Nancy will be talking. Jonathan explains everything from papa getting sniped and the nina project and telling to dustin (if hes there) that they saw Suzie and that she helped find Eleven. Back to the X i just see in front of me Dragon heads comming out of 3 of the lines and demodogs/demogorgans crawling out of the X. Those are my theroies or what i want to happen :3

Maybe the 1988 book might be an indicator that maybe one of the characters survived or something and they are reflecting back at what happened after the gang was reunited in Hawkins and their view of Hawkins smoldering. Just please, Duffer Brothers, don't do a "Bobby Ewing in the shower" thing. I'm sure they will skip that "trope" but who knows.

I mean , it’s literally not even a theory . Duffers confirmed time jump. Also , SPOILER ALERT!!!! The stranger thing musical gave more insight into Vecna /Henry. It’s heavily implied , that when Henry disappeared , he returned different with powers , but also there was a shadow evil presence that tormented his mind and would take over and do the evil things . Henry, at times, was able to fend off from the shadow/evil from consuming him and killing people. But we all know how that turned out . So my theory is that, Vecna will turn out not to be the true antagonist , but intact , he will be the 5 star general right hand man to the mind flayer.

And it would be amazing to see Max be completely blind. Because I am visually impaired which is a form of blindness. So in my opinion it would be amazing to see Max blind and have to use a wight cane

I'm all for seeing Linda Hamilton in season 5. But what if somehow she's the future version of Nancy Wheeler. If time travel is introduced in some way, Nancy is badass enough to be a high-ranking military figure who warns the kids in the present of the devastation caused by Vecna in their present day. I can see Nancy being in charge of a covert mission in the future dealing with all the issues that will be caused by the upside down in the future.

So Stranger Things really is technically the American version to Germany’s DARK? 😭
