While I do wholeheartedly believe in sexual empowerment, agency and all, I also believe that having your own son direct you making out with someone else is just really weird. I also do think that it's healthy to share and be open with your kid(s) but not to this degree and especially when it comes to intimate moments. My problem is not who she is and who she falls in love with since I'm sapphic myself. The problem is that this was a 100% failed representation attempt and the scenario is just ridiculous, although unfortunately expected for British/American culture (it's just so funny that I pair the word "culture" with anything British/American). We're talking about a woman who is most likely straight as an arrow in real life but chose to make out with a woman which should be respected because experimenting is fine but it looks weird and forced and she didn't make out with just any woman, she made out with one of her DECEASED daughter's friends, not even the mum of a friend which would be a bit better.
