My mom played Chopin very well on the piano, but my dad listened to elevator music on the radio. Those two types are opposites - one is week old generic store-bought white bread and the other a freshly-baked loaf of 9 grain bread made with real olive oil and fresh herbs. Distinctions. The devil is in the details.

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you don't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day! ^^

Senario for the music: I walked through the rows of bookshelves, leaving the beautiful library and making my way into the garden. The fairylights lit the area. The white statues seemed to dance as I walked around in different angles to the willow tree close by. I had brought a blanket and my fantasy book, along with a picnic basket. The skirt of my soft brown dress flowed into a circle around my waist as I sat on the fuzzy fabric. My head rested against the trunk as I opened the book. It started with a poem. The next page was the intro to a new fantasy world. To a new daydream. To a new home. I suddenly had wings, a crown on my head, jewelry of magic, and I was one of magical royalty. Reality faded. This was my reality now. Even if it was only for a couple hours

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨️ •Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈 Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. 📖 I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight 😴🧸

I stared into the aged eyes of the man. "What a shame..." He started, then sat down. "To be so young, yet not know what love is." "I do!" I said, appalled. "Love is when they care for me, or when they stay by my side when I'm sick. Or when-" "My dear, that's _admiration_ which is quite different from love." "Alright, then. What _is_ love?" I crossed my arms. "Love is when someone asks, 'Do you love them', and only one person comes to mind, without a name. Love is when their beauty is no longer important; when admiration becomes inspiration. It's what gets you through your day." He leaned forward, and with interest, he asked me the question he asked earlier. "Do you love them?"

I live in England and I can imagine my great great auntie called Lillian and her sister, Rosie painting away, laughing together listening to the hooves from the horses coming from outside and the rain plummeting on the cloudy windows. The smell of nettle soup fills the air and fresh bread. I now think of my great auntie, Gloria and Diana and my grandmother Jaqueline and their brothers, Clive, Norman and Brian. They are all in their small shared bedroom reading magazines and laughing and teasing each other whilst ( almost as if the rain is back to accompany another generation) , plummets on those same cloudy windows in the heart of London

It amazes me that you can have this kind of imagination. knowing that your ancestors had such a beautiful and peaceful life. I'm from north Africa, and my country was in war with French colonizers for over 150years. i know that my ancestors suffered and fought in many battles and wars. its the case for many countries. my late grandmother was in jail for a year with her mother and sisters and when she was married she struggled as they used to take my grand father away from her and their children. it makes me happy that you can imagine you ancestors having such beautiful days, i'm not accusing you or something it's just that it made me smile to know not all people are going through war.

I'm usually not a huge fan of calm piano music, but I just decided to give it a try while doing some studying and I was surprised what an effect it had! It was certainly relaxing, the songs are really beautiful, and it also kept me going in a way! I love the idea of an ambient mix set in the forest. POV: You stand in a bright, lush green field, its beautiful, but you don't feel joy. Instead you are filled with a hopeless feeling of grief. You try to look at the headstone through the thick tears that refuse to fall. The gravestones stood tall and proud in a line like the soldiers that lay underneath used to. I finally gain the courage to reach out and brush my hand against the rough moss laden stone. I took a knee and all my emotion fell with me. I felt in my soul that he was reaching back towards me. You close your eyes let yourself just... feel. All the emotions burst through you like how the bullets burst through the one you couldn't accept to lose. Suddenly a warm embrace wrapped around your body. As I stood in that field full of courage and grief hugging you, I whispered in your ear, "He's gone, you can't change the past, but you can shape your future." As I let go and started walking back, you stand a while longer, frozen with your head hung low. Slowly you begin to look up and hold your head high. You raise your arm to give one final salute, as a single tear rolls down your cheek.

"Please, don't go, don't shut me off." She whispered, full of despair. Rain drops were falling across the face, through her hair and clothes. But it hadn't bother her as much as tears in his eyes. "It'll be better if I disappear." He looked at the girl, woman actually, who have woken feelings he didn't even know he had. "For who? Because not for me, that's for sure." Her voice uncontrolably started to shake. She tried to catch his hand to make him change his mind. He knew that any contact - by only looking at each other, what if they touched. No, he had to do what was right for her, even if firstly it causes such a damage. She wanted to fight for both of them but he knew he had been lost since the beggining, otherwise than her. Worthy of what's the best, part of place he wasn't part of. "I'm not worthy, please, don't make it more difficult than it already is." "No, don't you even try to change my mind. You're coming with me, I won't leave you." "But I do, I'm sorry. I love you. One day, I hope you understand." "No!" She was almost screaming but because of crying her voice sounded almost terrifying, like from deepest place of ocean. She was drowning. Because of what he allowed to happen between them. "Please, turn the page. It was the best of times, I couldn't imagine better reader than you. Don't worry, I won't forget you. But please, don't come back." He said slightly and comforting, like he always did when she felt insecure, not well enough. She knew that this moment was coming since the beggining. She took the risk anyway and now it was time to pay for it. She took a deep breath and for the last time looked at him. He was perfect in his imperfection. "Goodbye. I love you too." "Promise you are not going to come back." "I promise." She crossed her fingers so he did that too. The page had been turned. She kissed cover of the book gently. And then, she opened it again. She knew she promised, but he was her addiction, her drug she couldn't live without. She couldn't get enough of him, she didn't want to.

POV: You wanted to feel alive The lingering sound of whispers in the rain kept me awake, I was physically there in my bedroom, my eyes wandering to find the moon that hid somewhere in the clouds on that rainy night. My mind was somewhere else, it was in the eyes of a deep blue sea that raged across the South, it was dehydrated in a wildly hot desert where all you could see was miles and miles of sand, it somewhere and everywhere, picturing scenarios and dancing across the plains, how I wished to feel alive, how I wished to feel more than just being there, how I wished that there was curiosity and the want to be alive, physically and mentally. Only wild dreams and imaginations kept me awake, only peace was found in there, a mind of wonder and a mind of despair, perhaps it wasn’t the misfortune that I went through as a child, perhaps it wasn’t the loneliness that entered my soul when everyone left, perhaps it wasn’t because i preferred to convince everyone I was mute by my silence and perhaps it wasn’t my ignorance that led me to a terrible fire that could’ve been stopped if it wasn’t for the absence of my soul that left my body that afternoon, and i kept wondering to myself, ‘What have I done so terribly in my life to deserve such pain from a young age. What misery, what damage have I caused to be so unlucky and misfortune…’ Yet at that time of age, I was 17, going to 18 and the only thing in my mind was a sense of dark humour that I shared to nobody but my cat, Avery and my hamster, Jeffery. Avery and Jeffery were two of a kind, it would be weird to say, ‘as if they understood me’ but who is there to judge me if no one really acknowledges my presence. This is not a story with a happy ending where I get accepted into society, this is not a story of someone finding me similar to them, this is not a story where I have a happily ever after because in my experience, not every life has a happy after, especially not this one. In this big world, the only person you can rely on is yourself, because you are the only person that will be with u, every step of the way.

I don't know why but this playlist makes me think of my younger foolish days but happy self and as if there were another universe out there where my dreams actually came true as a child and had a perfect life. It also makes me imagine of another situation where you sit next to your loved one (romantic, platonic, family, just one you care about.) and snuggle a blanket with them in front of this beautiful window while it's raining and you recall memories together and slowly close your eyes and rest. This playlist is like a combination of care, calm, worry, nostalgia all at once.

He looked out the large library window, the raindrops sliding silently down the misted glass, like cold tears on frozen cheeks. His face paled in front of the power of the storm, of the grayness of the clouds that slowly conquered the sky. A flash lit up the dark space of the library where he lay, alone, with only a book on the mahogany desk to keep him company. Everything about that place screamed wisdom and hoar, as if every single plank of wood, every shelf and dusty book possessed infinite knowledge, keepers of secrets as old as the world. He was just yet another passing soul, a body animated by unspeakable passions and empty terrors that had been hunting him for a long time now. The floor creaked under the soles of his shoes, like mocking laughter or noises of heated compassion. What was he doing there, plunged into the middle of that sacred place, while in his veins the confusion of an unknown past and the fear of an uncertain future merged into a single swirling flow? The turmoil of his heart had brought him there, that was it: sweet notes of a piano hovered in the distance, comforting that exhausted body and those rioting emotions. His blood-red lips parted in defeat, his clouded eyes closed for relief. He was so demeaning, living a life of lack. A soul in pain in constant search for places never seen before, people never met, tastes never tried. A cursed overeacher, destined for the addiction of unspoken words and never filled gaps. He hoped that at least there, in the library, he could find what he was looking for, what had long ago been denied him, starting that whirlwind of hunger and discontent, breaking his bones and melting his joints. Sprawled in that chair, abandoned in a martyr's pose, a light breeze brushed his forehead. He opened his eyes, and the woman smiled at him candidly, ethereal and immortal in the night-colored sweater. Her long brown hair hung limp along her face, her large crystalline green eyes peering at him with amused, tender curiosity. She kept her legs crossed, sitting with composure on the desk, in the benevolent and accustomed rigor of a ruler. Her long, tapered-fingered hands were joined and resting on her knees as her back stretched forward, bending over him. He said nothing: the mere realization that what was happening was real was enough to steal every word from his mouth. He just admired every inch of her body, drawing the contours of her being with eager disbelief. She hadn't aged a day since they'd last seen each other. Her own pristine beauty sprinkled her skin, her movements and her thoughts. The piano continued to play in some remote corner of the library. He let her gently caress his face as the surprise made way for the exaltation and, slowly, for the realization. A kind of happy despair took control of his limbs. He lifted her arm and squeezed her wrist, smiling back at her with calm awe. The woman brushed a lock of hair from her face and spoke slowly, pronouncing her words with innate sweetness. "What are you looking for, here?" "I'm looking for you," he promptly replied, his mouth dry and his eyes dripping with tears. Her smile widened, taking on a melancholy and regretful turn. "You know you will never get what you hope to achieve." "I don't care," he said then, "as long as I'm with you." She withdrew her hand, slipping silently out of his grasp. "I can't give you what you want," she whispered, stepping off the desk and standing in front of him. The notes of the piano followed one another at an increasingly slower rhythm, becoming less loud, as if the distance between the instrument and its listeners was rapidly increasing. The power of their ancient love struck him so violently that it left him breathless. He sighed loudly. They didn't have much time. They never had. "Please," he found himself praying, "tell me what to do and I'll do it." The woman studied him for a few seconds, then she moved towards and hugged him. The candles that filled the room with a dull, gloomy light went out abruptly. Only the notes of the piano remained to accompany them in the dark. He clung to her with all his strength as he felt her vanish, dust and memory in his arms. He could now see a flowery meadow in the distance, the sun setting on the horizon, the same field where he had fallen asleep a few hours earlier. Maybe he would never go back to that library. He felt the horror in his body, the pain take possession of his limbs. Was this really his condemnation, never being able to have her by his side again except in fleeting dreams? A life destined for useless research? The library disappeared in a whisper around him. He could still feel her beside him, the warmth of what she had been lingering in the light of his memories. "There's only one thing you can do for me," she explained, her words a mixture of sorrow and absolute. "You can live, because there is no contrast between dream and life, but there is a terrible one between dream and death." He sobbed, feeling her grip grow more indefinite. "Only then will you find what you are truly looking for. Peace lies at the end of your journey, and you have a long one still ahead." She laughed, that crystalline laugh that had made him wake up every morning for so long. As he opened his eyes to the real world, far from the expanse of dreams and memories he had been in, her words rang out once more. "When the time comes, you will tell me about the wonders you have seen." He jumped up, the wind drying his tears. It was a new night, the Milky Way silently observed him from the distance. He ran a hand through his hair, his heart slowly stopping racing. The infinite before him waited. He closed his eyes. "Until we meet again."

"You know those tunes'll only make you feel shittier, 'ey?", Dorian told Ann. "Those violin and piano pieces grab you by the sorrows and pull you in, and convince you that melancholy is akin to something like a sweet ice cream flavour. But you're really only digging deeper valleys in the mood of the mind. You do know that, right?" Ann cracked the still expression on her face with a reserved smile as her eyes gradually moved from the border where the rain no longer touched the cobblestone. The water would instead clatter down on the thatch overhang above the two. She turned down the volume on her speakers, and a softer sound proceeded to tug at her heartstrings through the clamour of the surrounding downpour. "I've been thinking about that- Reflecting on it, actually. When was the last time I came to you to complain?" Dorian blinked and his eyes darted around momentarily, implying a rush of thoughts on carefully chosen words. "I wouldn't say you complain a lot-" "I never claimed to complain a lot." Words were chosen poorly after all. "I-... guess that would have been yesterday? We were cycling from campus to Sab's room for drinks and dinner, and you-... You didn't really say anything during the ride. You replied to me, you did. But with each response there was a certain... unease to the prospect of having to utter another sentence. When a traffic light went from red to green you sighed as you got moving again. I thought something happened, but we were going to have a fun eve and I didn't want to-" "Nothing happened." Ann surprised Door when her eyes met his. Her whole face implied an approaching breaking point. Lips strained as she kept up a smile, tension emanating from the slight quiver in her lower jaw; Everything about her prophesied the coming of sorrow-salted drops, but to his silent amazement, there were none. "I have reflected on the past week and on why without anything in particular ticking me off, I have felt... like this." Her eyes went from Dorian to the rain drops falling outside the sheltering firmament, with the continuous movement of her eyes implying she was trying to count them all as they fell past her gaze. "And then I reflected on the weeks before this one. And then on the months. On the past 10 years or so, maybe even? At some point, you go back a stretch of time where you manage to pinpoint some big events and say: 'Yes, that hurt a lót. That must have made quite a dent in my dome at the time!' But then you think smaller again. What happened last month? What made that dent? What caused the dent last week? Why is there nothing to blame for the shame and guilt and unease that I felt ever since I woke up today-" A crack in her voice, Dorian probably noticed it too. Doesn't matter. Ann swallowed away her broken voice and proceeded with fresh composure. "And as I thought and recounted and contextualised... I started to realise that it's not about the occasional lows in life that I remember as being shitty things. It's not a riff or bridge that ruins a song for me, it's a bad baseline. At some point, all the scapegoats for misery have left your life, and you have the luxury of going on uninhibited and everyone gets to tell you that you are in fact yourself responsible now for your misery. Which is an amazing thing to be able to fall back on: Ann, you're the biggest shit in your life! Congratulations!" Having heard way too much all at once, Dorian, in an attempt to break the streak of words, just sat down next to Ann and pulled her head into the space of his neck and shoulder. Her head now fallen next to his, she shifted her face towards his troubled eyes. "I think I passed the point of reinventing sadness for myself, Dor. It's the bad baseline. It's the things to look forward to being tainted by the knowledge that you'll have to get home again. And home is rooted firmly within the baseline." She shifted her head again and Dorian noticed she was clearly looking at the speakers, still softly accompanying the music of the rain. "Songs like this don't dig the baseline deeper, they give it something more material. And I don't feel worse listening to them." A sad chuckle escaped her lips. "I don't feel better either I'll admit, or even understood. I did use to say that, when I was younger. But right now-... I guess these notes help me reconnect to a time where I thought I actually could translate myself into music. Just to place myself in my own smaller shoes again, and think once more that it will all pass at some point soon." Dorian felt her head shift once more, but as her face once again turned to touch the skin on his neck, he could now feel a small spot of wetness where his neck was closest to her eye. She then hemmed for a moment as she closed her eyes with a more honest smile on her face now. "I can hear your heartbeat through your neck." She felt the sound of rain and music fall away as involuntarily her tired mind started focusing on the rhythm of his heart. "Thank you."

I always wanted to took creative writing and poetry. I took a 2 yr course about the arts and design, my classmates me feel happy yet the haunting thought disrupted me "can I even write a book?" "Can i make well constructed scripts?" I experienced theatre acting, singing, drawing, photography; it was all about arts. It was about trying different things out of our comfort zone. Even if it wasnt your forte In the end, i took a medicine-related course. I love what I do, but still, there a lot of what ifs. "What if I took creative writing? no, my parents wont really support and pay for it. This is a wise choice. It's not like I can write poetry everyday" Maybe, maybe someday i'll write. I'll be creative. I'll risk everything to get what I want. If we think about it, there's a lot of dreams we couldnt get because we only have two hands and a mind. Time is ticking, pick what you love. Even if it's too late. 3 yrs from now, ill be taking that course i wanted or be a director or a photographer. Passion is what makes us thrive. We can be interested in so many things. Poetry is truly a form of art. Thankyou, dead poets society. I love that film a lot it hurts

The room was filled with the smell of vanilla and old books. The room was as elegant as a princess would be for a masquerade. The piano was on a side. The coffee was ready on the coffee table , also there laid my books of old language and literature. Jane Austen has been the most recent author in my library. Her books and words could easily be taken the reader to place where you shift your realities. Just me and me . No one else made a sound or it would be the wind. I look outside my window, to see the lake glistening with sunshine. The hills near the lake were freshly washed off , which gave them a new shine , which is called something I've never know about . No one but my books, piano , coffee , my old Porche. I finally found inner peace and love. Of my self . (A/n : Jesus. I've never written on UKposts but this is what I wanna be , sick )

It gives me those "you're the main character of your own story" kind of vibe, its calming but there's energy coming from the music. I feel like Im running late for classes at university and just dropped all my books in front of an aloof and handsome stranger who is well versed in poetry. I feel like I was invited to my nemesis' ball and decided to escape to the observatory or the 3 story library because I couldnt handle the hypocrisy. I just want to put this out in the world because that's how music works. Two years ago my pop died and ive been fighting for years against generational hardships, i lost most of my family members for those years. My gran is about to die of cancer, my long time gf who i wanted to have children with broke up with me. I have synesthesia, percepting color when hearing music or reading words but it was lost for so long during that time. When i heard the first song by Peter, it was bright blue! Like baby blue blankets under the afternoon sunlight. Years, everyone! It was colorless but its back for whatever reason when i browsed, i found it again. Thanks universe.

I'd like to imagine I'm a ghost, drifting aimlessly through my abandoned mansion. With each room I pass comes a memory of the time I spent when I was alive, time spent with my loved ones and dear friends. Recounting the way the world looked through the old windows, seeing the seasons change and the life outside changing along with them. Trailing my fingers over dusty tomes in a neglected library, my thoughts drifting to far away places and worlds I could only imagine in my youth. Wishing to once again be able to read them, only to have the pages crumble under my touch. Visiting with the spiders who've made home to every crevice and corner, draping the walls with silver curtains. Waltzing in an overgrown garden, the window glass once protection against the rain and snow overhead long gone. Creeping ivy adorning not only the walls of my home, but hanging off of garden trellises and scattered shards of pottery decorate the garden path. The sun has set and the house feels more cold than ever, mournfully I light the candles in the windows, they flicker and glow giving me a sense of nostalgia for fall evenings and warm drinks. I phase through the double doors of the parlour to greet an old friend, her sheen gone and lacquer cracking and peeling from years of disuse and care. My dear piano, hours long spent admiring those keys and the soft sweet melodies we would make together. For this evening I will feel alive once again, playing songs that will breathe life back into these empty halls. For an audience I haven't seen in decades. Just for tonight, let us remember fondly days of the past.

Whoa! I absolutely love this!!! Though, the first sentence did get me thinking. . . Do ghosts ever start to lose their memories of their past life? Do they ever get that feeling that they are slipping away from who they once were? Because after decades and centuries of existence, whether alive or dead, one will eventually start to lose old memories. One will eventually lose who they once were, for everyone eventually starts to change. I don't know, maybe I'm thinking too much😅

@@weird_human1341 You're fine! The first sentence was in reference to myself, imagining how it would feel to be a ghost 😅. I'd like to believe that depending on the strength of will and the age at which someone died would determine whether they'd lose themselves in purgatory. Plus, events that occur in physical places hold energy that can kindle and stir up spirits, some good and some bad. It's easy for me to world build and character build when I listen to music so no worries!

as my hands moved slowly across the page; admiring the ocean of words written down on a sheet of paper;i thought of how marvelous the feeling of reading was.everything blocks out as you read word after word;the book swollowing you whole and leading you to what feels like a new world.no matter if you yourself are the main character; or simply the the invisible audience in a book; it still feels as if your somewhere else.might that be your in a jungle; or on a boat.reading takes all yoyr worries; all your stresses.and all your pain away.now you might think to yourself "whats the joy of reading a book if i cant or dont like reading?".Well you see; thats best part.having someone read it to you; or even better; creating your own stories; you might not want to be in any of the scenarios a book creates; so thats why its so amazing to make your own.you dont have to publish it or write it down, you can simply let your imagination run wild.might you be flying in the air in your mind; or eating a warm bowl of porridge. your mind is the creator of all your ideas and strengths; and maybe your weaknesses.but it wont matter in the end. because either way you get to enjoy your own world full of literuture -L

Just below the Gates, He nailed me to a glass cross as thick as the hide I grew, and as transparent as the soul I bore. Snowflakes stuck to my eyelashes. Hot tears melted them away, like the thump of a foot on frosty grass, or the feeling of falling out of love. The wind tugged as the shadows of the trees stretched and waltzed, and the leaves whispered a soft shush, like the sound of a mother coaxing her child to sleep. Just beyond the woods, a street light went out. The explosivity of the cease to light was as undetectable as the breaking of a heart.

tho i am not found by reading normal books at all, it all seems the same to me, stories and way too many words. Writing thing myself never made me tierd, espically poetry or my own little stories and fantasies. I could spend hours writing a poem. each time i listen to this playlist i feel like writing. i feel like i'm listening to something from a time and place i could fit in. Somewhere is my place, but for now this music makes me feel like i'm always there where i want to be. Words my be words, if pen or feather, buttons or lips, poetry is a art, naught forgotten in the oceans of future's light. it comes in all ways, leaves tears of all shapes. thus the art of the pen is a mighty one, for one can say thing in a way which might nobody may. Tho time might go, art is preserved not as to carry it golden, but to mend smile's that may have broken, hopes that could've been forgotten or laughs that would've not been heard. Even a simple poem holds a key, because each piece of poetry hold a piece of inside of me.
