Nah it's closer to 500 to 600 the margins aren't actually that good ink cartridges for printers those cost like a few cents to make these they have alot of professional staff and custom tolling that's pricey

Hey, awesome video, man! You nailed it with the Apollo - yep, it's all made right here in the USA. Interesting catch about the hollow points. We didn't hit any snags in our tests, but we're grabbing those Match Defender hollow points you used to check them out ourselves. Depending on what we find, we'll tweak things for the next in line improvement. Thanks for the great video, keep it up!

3:18 My Apollo was doing the same thing to me. I sent it back to LFA & they wound up swapping out the barrel. When I got it back it was noticeably better, but still nowhere near defensive reliable. I ended up setting up my own tooling jig & ever so slightly altered the feed ramp pitch before finishing with a near mirror finish buffing. Now she'll feed any 9mm I fill the mag with.

Nice video and a very good pistol that punches well above its price point. I have just over 1000 rounds through my Apollo 11, no issues at all with various FMJ ammo, after about 600 rounds and a good cleaning and lube it would feed hollow points just fine. LFA has done a great job especially for a sub 1k price. My only suggestion is for them to offer an aluminum or steel grip option as a factory upgrade, and to offer a good exchange to us early supporters of this platform from them. The Plastic or whatever Grip, looks good and feels fine but the material is to thin and light and does not balance well or give a firm confident feel. Keep the current grip at the same price point and add 10 to 20 % upgrade for a guality aluminum grip with tactical Magwell.

Yeah, but you do have a double stack 7.62x25 pistol available there, and of course there are plenty of FALs around there, which you should grab one and hide it for the bad times that are coming! Stay safe!

Ammo sensitivity is a dealbreaker. Now that the CZ Shadow 2 is sitting around a thousand dollars I can’t see spending the same amount for a gun that can’t reliably shoot defensive ammo. But it is pretty.

I appreciate the review Dustin! I've been looking at these for a little bit now. One of the concerns is that the optics cut doesn't have the locking lugs. I hope they can adjust their CNC cut to add them. I have high hopes that they will refine this into a very viable 2011.

Nice pistol. I'm sure there's self defense ammo out that that will feed Reliably. I run federal syntech defense 203 grain SJHP in my 45acp no problem

You're such a good shot. I'd love to practice for a month with unlimited ammo and many different guns, then have a competition with you afterward. When I was 15, I beat my instructor and all the classmates with all of his guns shooting them for the first time in a competition shooting 5 rounds per gun. The instructor was soo pissed off he mentioned he was going to sell all his guns and quit shooting all together. He has been practicing for over 40 years. He calmed down and changed his mind, then congratulated me. I can't afford to shoot much these days. But I miss it and always wanted my own shooting range at my property that I will buy one day.

What’s interesting to me is I used to have a Springfield Admory 1911 Range Officer 5” that had zero issues with hollow points so I decided to try something, my 30S vs the 1911 could either feed and chamber an empty case? Well one of them did, and it wasn’t the Glock.😮 so maybe it’s due to the single stack setup but, it would seem the feed ramp can be done at least in a single stack to feed reliably (fed it Gold Dots and HST’s

Naming a pistol after a failed Moon Mission probably wasn't the best thing to do. I think they invoked whatever affected the mission. I certainly wouldn't buy one after seeing how it choked on hollowpoints.

I got one of these babies on back order and waiting it out. If the only rhing is it cant run hollow points , no problem them for me.. i have no love for them. Some fuy around here suggested fort scott TUI, and intuitively i knew the guywas nails on that. Ill just switch over . These things are like your car.. only certain things will on it, only certain grades of engine oil will work on it. That being said, 1911s like lots of lube especially right out of the box. If this dude didnt grease ol girl down really good, rhat xouldve caused his hiccups. He also said his gripping on the gun was off.. 1911s dont like that...
