Subnautica is one of those games that even if someone explains it to you, you dont understand it until you play through the whole game yourself

The fact that a reaper can see you when you hear him scream creeps me out

Little did everyone know, this would go down as one of the scariest games in history.

When he said “They do not want us down there” was so cool and scary

So..the guy who was talking was a survivor from the Degasi, and at the end where the Aurora comes, that's us.

There is just something haunting about this one line: "Father was right, we shouldn't have went down so deep. They *do not* want us down there." It's as if the world's creatures know that we are intruders upon their world, and would rather see us dead than to make any sort of escape.

It is weird because the narration is the same in the PDA that you can found at the floating island but in this trailer it is under the sea.

For those asking for a PS4 version, you'll have to be patient. This is a PC indie game in which a tiny group of friends spent four years trying to put together, nearly going bankrupt in the process. This is not some major studio. Give them time, because they are already working on updates, DLC and ports. XBox will be first because it's basically just a stripped-down PC. Sony is a tougher nut to crack, because they'll have to re-code whole parts of the game just to get it to work. Be patient. Support them if you can. And you'll see this on PS4.

Great cinema trailer can’t wait to see in theaters.

Imagine a subnautica film : Introduction, the Degasi crash : then during the exploration of the planets by the survivor, they show us how the 3 bases were built. The death of the father by the crab squid, then marguerit being attacked by the reaper and presumed dead. Sickness of the last survivor due to kharaa even though we don't know what it is and finally ending screen the aurora crash. Film 2 : Riley Robinson desperatly searching for survivors before seeing the sunbeam being shot down, go deeper and deeper while discovering more about kharaa and precursors, then his escape. Film 3 Below zero or "How did kharaa exist and what are precursors" while Robin is apparently investigating her sister's death... Encountering marguerit on his adventure who was presumed dead in film 1 and telling us her fight for survival Just imagine what this would be !

Side note: for all of you saying about how it’s the same thing from the pda. That’s true. But the first line saying “I’m attempting a controlled ascent” is from another pda from life pod 19 from officer keen.

What's funny is the Sea Dragon isn't too scary but the reaper is terrifying. Reapers you'll run into with just a seaglide or a seamoth but the sea dragon you'll only face in a prawn suit or a cyclops. Also, reapers can come in packs and they are agile. The sea dragon s slow and massive which makes it easier to avoid. It's probably more of a subconscious thing as once you've made it to the lava zone you've already dealt with giant murderous leviathans.

This game has become my first real series and I enjoy every minute of it.

The soundtrack is freaking awesome and instills terror every time you enter a new biome.

let me take this moment to HEAVILY suggest playing Subnautica in VR. you don't get that sense of scale in the regular game like you do in VR. it makes seeing a reaper leviathan multiple times scarier, and you start to get a newfound appreciation for the fauna of 4546B

Its perfect for a mini series with like 20 to 40 minute episodes

Thus is one of the most unknown and underrated games in 2020

Played the game w/out seeing the trailer. Dumbass here thought this was just some underwater minecraft, never reading PDAs. But damn boi, this trailer really lifts my perspective imma go back to those PDAs real quick
