Today, I learned that I've been saying Lakitu wrong for over 25 years.

What a legendary experience having been there to see smash ultimate evolve into what it has become to this day. Sora, the final fighter to be released in the game, comes out in 3 days and it’s hard to believe that it has been nearly 3 years since the airing of this direct and the release of the game shortly after. I have made so many great memories with so many people thanks to this game and the people behind it. I know that it is highly unlikely that anyone involved with the development of this game will ever see this, but from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Sakurai and all the people out there who made this piece of gaming history possible

One year ago today, Grinch believers had their hearts shattered as many of the leaked characters were deconfirmed as either spirits or assist trophies. With only Ken and Banjo-Kazooie as the only survivors.

That last 5 minute trailer killed more characters than Infinity War did in the span of 2 hours. Smash Ultimate really IS the most ambitious crossover in history.

It's exactly one year since this official direct had existed. Thanks a lot Sakurai and your development team for making this game and it's also the best fighting game I've played. I had a ton of fun with the greatest surprises (such as World of Light and Battle Arena) and that playable fighter named Daisy. Also Sakurai always has me impressed like ZUN does (just as usual). Yes, I had no expectations for this game thanks to the fact that I've learned from the Touhou fangames. I'm a Touhou fan.

This was a great introduction to what content Smash Ultimate would be capable of for the future, and hope to see what decisions and new series representation there will be for Volume 2! The piranha plant reveal is just perfect, it goes to show any characters, useless or not, can be invited in the smash roster (sorry waluigi, ATLEAST you were an assist trophy)
