Ariel Adams of aBlogtoWatch reviews the TAG Heuer Aquaracer x Bamford watch. This limited edition collaboration piece (Ref. WAY208F.BF0638) between TAG Heuer and well-known watch customizer George Bamford comes in a 43mm-wide sandblasted grade 2 titanium case with matching bracelet. The dial features a textured concentric circle pattern flanked by an orange racing-flag pattern along its periphery, along with matching touches of orange in the hands and the lume pip on the bezel. The hour markers are made of milled pieces of solid luminant, and over the dial is a flat anti-reflective coated crystal with a magnifier over the date window. Inside is the TAG Heuer Caliber 5 automatic movement, operating at 4Hz with about two days of power reserve. The watch is limited to 1,500 pieces and pricing is $3,900 USD.

Tag heuer only used titanium in special edition aquaracer's watches like the aquaracer phantom (ceramic and titanium)and the carbon aquaracer editions(carbono and titanium)but what is different about this is that they went all out even with the bracelet, is made in titanium and the sandblasted finish is amazing, the orange color gives a very unique and very cool watch, well done.

Would this piece retain value better than the regular Aquaracer considering it’s a special edition? I’m debating between this and a regular automatic aquaracer blue dial

It's really cool they made in different material than the other Aquaracer. Really makes it special, not just by small dial difference etc. Also we need more titanium watches! Great material for watch cases.

This rugged watch goes toe to toe with the BB58. I believe it wins that tilt. I really love that TAG made it.

what i like the most about this watch is that it's supposed to be sturdy and heavy-duty etc. even though I tried scuba diving once and I never get out of my home.

@@BeGr8atTennis well worth getting, looks sooo much better in the flesh. Was in the tag boutique in London last week to get one of the new autavia flybacks and saw this in a special display case. On impulse bought this and the black flyback. Wife not happy. Been wearing it all week. The autavia can wait. So far had a few comments on what’s that and some thought it was a Sinn!

Was really looking forward to getting this, it seemed to tick all of the boxes. Unfortunately the marketing images of this made it look so good, opening the box was really underwhelming, the proportion didn’t seem to match the pictures. I measured it as more of a 44mm and on my c.7inch wrist it looked really big. If this had been a 41mm it may have been almost perfect as I imagine this would have meant the glass being closer to 29-30mm. The cyclops over the date was a no from me though, absolutely no need for it. All of the recent aquaracers have gained this unnecessary magnifying element. For those with a bigger wrist this may work well.

Not gonna lie, was kind of a bamford hater. However, they did a good job with this Tag. All of the subtle changes add up to make a well thought out re-design. A no date, or no cyclops would have made this a true winner.

Oh yeah wtf. I get that it's a press model, but shouldn't there be greater attention to detail on these, since the press models are the ones that get the most eyeballs on them by potential customers?

@@gyang333 I've seen pictures on chrono24 from this watch, takes by the seller: all of them have a misaligned rehaut. Seams to be some sort of design feature

Again Tag is too expensive. The Sinn U50 is a $1000 cheaper and uses tegimented submarine steel. It's a no brainer, the Sinn.
