I am now 76 years old and have not heard this beautiful song for so long but I heard it again yesterday and I am playing it over and over again as I used to. Never fails to move me which is the measure of a greatness - a sound that will endure for ever.

When I was in Paris in early '89, her album Ancient Heart was on the Top 3, and this song was played over and over in heavy rotation. Thank goodness for Tanita Tikaram and Tracy Chapman, the only two singers who made me feel like I was not a freak for having a low-pitched voice in a world of sweet feminine high-pitched, "baby" voices! As a young aspiring singer I remember thinking phew, I'm not flawed! This song is a masterpiece BTW.
