The thing with these Tecno companies is that they have zero support for their phones. Apart from security patches, you will never receive an actual software update. When you start using them, that's when you will realise how mediocre they are. Trust me I speak from experiance

I would not say GSMArena was being paid to review Tecno. I would like to imagine constantly bombarded with phone calls and emails from Tecno finally got tiresome and GSMArena just did the reviews to shut Tecno up.

I onced owned an Infinix phone and since Infinix and Tecno all belong to the same parent company Transsion Holdings, they are basically the same phone. I can't in good conscience ever recommend their phones to anyone. From experience, their phones aren't good, especially when it comes to software. Ads, bugs and lack of any meaningful software updates kill these devices and it's borderline criminal that this phone is priced the way it is.

I'd say the recent ones are the ones that suffer from that. Old flagships of theirs truly stood out. I still use mine till now (though I want one for newer features rather than failed performance)

This device proofs you can't compliment great hardware without good software. Techno really tried but it's the software which was the reason of this I mean the camera sensor is way better than the shots it's producing and apart from this you can see bad software everywhere like auto keeping every apps to 60 except when navigating ui.

Yeah they just messed up with their software . And people are complaining about this and that . This is really a good deal expect the software . Maybe they just don't have any intention to invest on software section . If this had Realme or Miui ( both are shit but better ) this would've been a hot cake

And don't even think about getting any Android version update from Tecno. 1 or 2 years max of security updates is what most users will be getting, and not even in monthly order.

Then under the same price bracket with SD, it will be a borderline low-end performer. SD662 isnt a great option performance wise VS G85/G95. If with SD720G or 732G, they cant compete with xiaomi or realme.

Tecno is pretty good brand. Got the Camon 16 premier, it runs everything and really good camara. And is just a midrange, so this one must be really better.

Nice device still. Tecno is stepping up her game especially in the camera segment, and that's a nice one. But just an advice to Tecno; it will still be nice to keep price competitive on your way to the top, for me, the Phantom is a total welcome idea if not for the price.

@@crestraizn the interesting thing about Poco x3 pro is just the Soc , nothing else . Tell Xiaomi to give something with SD860 , 6+256 , Amoled-90hz , in display fingerprint , flagship grade main camera sensor and versetile camera setup and a metal-glass sandwich primium body . Don't shit around man know your shit . Only drawback of this phone is software that's why image quality and other things are lagging behind . but they can properly use these hardware if they want . This phone just need better software optimization . People think CPU and RAM is everything on a phone .

well, techo could release a few software updates to allow us to calibrate the display and improve the cameras. All in all, I think this mid ranger could be better, but is still OK if you don't mind the crummy camera right and the not-so-accurate colours.

Xiaomi mi 11 lite of course. What people say about tecno is true. 1. tecno doesn't update their phones frequently and they only last about a year before you start having problems. Some times they promise to offer one android update and you'll never see it. 2. HiOS is full of ads. More that Xiaomi (miui 12.5 has less ads that what it used to have in previous builds) and you will find apps persistently installing themselves. 3.for about 545 dollars(price of the phantom x) you are better off getting a w phone from another brand. Samsung a52/a72, Redmi note 10 Pro, Poco F3 Realme etc... 3. Avoid Tecno and Infinix phones at all cost. Once you have an issue on a particular software you will have to wait for months with the hope that they will give you a software update to fix it. What you are basically paying for is the design and curved amoled. 4. If you need an SD card slot and more versatility, the redmi note series is much better than the mi 11 lite
