I don’t know anything about what it takes to become part of law enforcement but if my/this idea isn’t already apart of their training then why not make new law enforcement recruits do some military combat training? Training where you’re actually trained for gun battle? JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT….

(I hate when people pedestalize law enforcement, like they’re more trained/they couldn’t/wouldn’t snap) 2️⃣ Background and Mental health checks are going to be utilized in the selection. (Personally, I think monthly rechecks would be phenomenal, and actually should be utilized in law enforcement as well) 3️⃣ Furthermore, there will be training and deescalation protocols involved. (Again, people are fallible, but a child “talking sideways” isn’t going provoke use of deadly force. And if that did happen, the system failed in hiring that teacher WAAAAY before a firearm was introduced) 4️⃣ And for the little miscreants bold enough to actually hit a teacher, don’t put the burden on the staff!
