I actually saw the fight and before it started, Loma went to the fight like an idiot with bigger trunks that kept on falling down. Due to this, the ref instructed both Salido and Loma that Salido could hit below the belt line to compensate for Lomas bigger trunks. Both agreed and fought. 95 percent of Salido's punches landed where the ref instructed he could hit at. Loma was trying to play mind games ( he's used to that) but the ref was a great one. He knew what he told Loma before the fight. The fight was a slugfest too, so Salido was known as a body snatcher, so he went to the body more. I did in fact count about 3 low, low blows from Salido, but it was because both got into a fire fight and Loma kept holding Salido's head down, which is dirty. Salido was asked about the low blows and he responded saying, I was instructed by the ref where to hit and I did so accordingly. He also said, I was focused on the fight and not worrying about the refs job. Had he told me about keeping them up, I would have done so, but as far as I knew, I was hitting where he said was fine. The ref missed those 3 low blows, but I am sure it was confusion on his part, due to how the whole dynamic of the fight changed with Lomas big trunks. Salido said the same that confusion was rampant, but he fought nevertheless. Even if the ref took a point from Salido for those 3 fouls, he would have still won because he was winning that fight 8 rounds to 4. Many new Loma fans don't know that little detail about the fight because Loma wasn't popular then. If you don't believe, the commentators mentioned it during the fight. I haven't found no clip of it online anywhere, but see the fight and the announcers mention what I've said about the bigger trunks. Sorry, but Salido won that fight fair and square.

Instead the more speedy defensive boxer, Loma, ranned circles around the ring controlling Teo making Teo follow him which they called walking him down, just terrible education. This replay video favors loma. But replaying the whole fight in slow motion. Tells the real story. It was closer the what 2 judges had it. 116-112. Or 115-113. But definitely lopez won the fight.. Loma trained to counter punch lopez attacks.. Lopez fought a different way and loma for an unknown reason took to long to adjust to it.. If he had maybe he'd won the fight.. He looked surprisingly bad.. Lopez didn't look that good.. Not a good fight.

Everyone says about a draw, but even the draw does not even close. Loma win.

A good defense is important. Loma controlled Teo those rounds you claim he took off, making Teo chase after him allowed Loma to enforce his style of fight. He blocked and parried 95% of Teofimo punches. And when he did throw his hands he had the harder and cleaner punches. Agression is nice only when you consistently land clean punches at will which Teo never ever did. Loma won first half and second half. Indedd it wasn't close, Loma won technically by the book

This is a draw or a split at best. and I agree Loma had more effective punches from halfway through the fight. but you have to give Teo respect going all out on the 12th. The rematch would be interesting if there is, I think Loma's team overlooked the fact that Teo is naturally bigger, not to mention younger. Loma had success from 7th and up, he started headhunting from there on but never really hold it; but can't blame him on that as he probably felt Teo's power and does not want to make a mistake and get caught. A big fan of Loma, but this exposed his game, it shows a lot of flaws in his game like can't fight on a pocket and very vulnerable going toe to toe. as much as I hate to admit but I think his footwork is a bit overrated, Teo even stayed on the line of sight but utilized his reach advantage and was really effective. Or this may be a bad gameplan from Loma from the get-go. Anyhow, I still stand for a draw or split either way.

I've noticed it during the fight too & would've given it a draw. Loma had the most significant strikes compared to teo. Most of teofimos punches were grazes. But u have to understand, its different watching it in person than in TV.

Lopez won the first 6 rounds and hurt lomo several times...Lomo threw less than 50punches in the first 6rds....he came back in the 2nd half of fight...too little too late...
