I always say hes a combination of the 4 kings of the 80s. Hagler's switch hitting style, Hearns' range, Leonard's footwork, along side Duran's mean streak. Thats Bud for you.

They also know Spence can't beat him that's why AL never wanted to make this fight. He wanted Soence to fight Thurman and Spence was onboard until he received public backlash from it. He had to be pressured to take the fight. Had Bud not constantly called him to make it happen we would've never gotten the fight.They claimed he fought nobody yet they wasn't trynna get in the ring with him either (I wonder why 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️)

I think the way he hits from unorthodox foot positions is something that really catches his opponents off guard, he counters with such precision and speed because most opponents arent expecting someone to throw when their feet aren't planted a certain way or they havent reset back to an traditional position, the switch hitting definitely plays into that

I feel like Crawford's patience isn't highlighted enough in these videos. Even when people bring it up, the talk about it negatively claiming "he starts slow"...... Crawford's IQ lets him know when and were to direct his energy. Even when he has hurt his opponent, he don't just lose all technique while attacking them. He stays efficient and gives the punches that are effective without taking everything out of himself while throwing it. His calculating tactics early in the fight is what gives him the upper hand come the mid rounds and then his opponents don't have a chance if they make it near the championship rounds.

People say Spence is going to be too active and aggressive for Bud but what they don’t know is the more aggressive you are with a masterful counterpuncher like Bud (not to mention the switch hitting right within punch exchanges), the more opportunities you give him to counter you. His reflexes are otherworldly, Something that has been crafted through the years but also a big part of his genetics. The dude feints a punch while simultaneously countering, and hitting his mark. Like a pitcher throwing a ball at the same time as dodging one and striking a batter out. you can’t just learn that. Been following Crawford for years and telling everyone that I know who follows this great sport how special he is. I called it with Mayeather early in his career amidst the haters, but look where he is now. This is Crawford's time and that man is determined and HUNGRY! i keep hearing about the size discrepancy. Yes, a factor, but all you true boxing fans saw what happened with Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya...Mayweather vs. Canelo, etc. The bigger men were neutralized by speed, superior boxing, and accuracy. Speed kills and like the Pac Man, Bud has power in both hands. I really believe that Porters awkward and aggressive style of fighting imposed a bigger threat than Spence.
@Rocatagliata25
@Rocatagliata25 10 місяців тому
It's quite insane that you use 2 fights where rehydration clauses were a huge fact and you use it as an example of why Crawford should win. Pacquiao drained De La Hoya and Mayweather did the same against an opponent which by that time was called the Grandpa Killer. With that said, to be great you have to fight the greats at their best and Crawford has never done that. Count it as hate if that makes you sleep well. But Mayweahter and Crawford are nothing to be proud in terms of boxing. Two fighters known for cherry picking atrociously . Like Mike Tyson said, you can't call yourself the greatest ever if you can't walk in the streets by yourself, if you can't take your kids to school by yourself.

Crawford has been ducked over and over when he moved up to the welterweight division, not to mention under a horrible promoter like Bob Arum. Pacquiao wasn't in his prime and still a lot of people think he won, even Floyd's dadwas yelling at him in the corner because Floyd was fighting scared, he also didn't fight Mosley in his prime and when he could've fought Khan and Thurman in their prime he ducked them, so stop that cheerleader/yes man narrative. I wouldnt call him a "brawler" he is a "technician". His fight IQ is amazing. He can adjust to anything which is probley why he is one of the best. I see great fighters do great until they fight that guy thats not a good styleistic match for the fighter then i see the fighter keeps doing the same thing in the fight because he dont have an answer for the issues that he is faceing. (Thats why they say styles make fights) but crawford is an exception because he can adapt to anything. He has amazing fight IQ which helps him make proper adjustments. Styles make fights and crawford is a man of many styles. Good luck trying to figure him out. As a boxer myself i always felt its wise not to fall in love with fighting one way. I try to train to fight many different styles instead of keeping to one style. Crawford has the right idea. But far from a brawler

Boxing Brawler is a good short way to describe Bud in a nutshell. The real description is too long 😂 Bud by TKO around the 8 or 9th round.

I think it was quite opposite between Spence and Crawford. Spence is the brawler throwing haymakers, Crawford is just a skilled boxer who does everything the boxing manual says.

If you compare to the UFC Israel Adesanya fights in similar way: switch stance & hands away from the body to parry/counter/assert presence. Also both utilize a hook counter. I’m hear after his recent win.

Will you do a side by side breakdown comparison of their résumés? I’m sure you know where all of their opponents stood in their careers when they fought them. I feel like Errol’s resumé isn’t as major as fans make it out to be. I’m a fan of both guys but I got Bud in this fish fry

One thing they left out is Crawford's excellent, unmatched instincts; and this is a very big deal because it's not something that can be taught or trained for as an opponent to respond to; Bruce Lee had it and few others. Bud is lb 4 lb the very best today!

BSide, like Loma, will be facing his first elite fighter at WW. Loma failed to live up to Top Rank matchmade expectations and cried afterwards. He won only 2 rds on all 3 judges cards. This is unheard of for an allegedly #1 P4P fighter. Witnesses and his trainer confirmed that it was Loma in the ring and not an imposter. EJ collected 3 belts from 3 WW champs. Unlike BSide, he's fought and decisively defeated top fighters. Champ Brook took a knee, Undefeated 4 div P4P champ Mikey took an unplanned retirement, Champ Porter contemplated retirement, 2 div former WW champ DSG was whupped like never before and remained out of the ring for 18 months, and the ringside doctro stopped the demolishment of WBA champ Ugas in the 10th rd. EJ has the better trainer, sparring partner, resume, inside fighting, defense, is bigger, taller, and has been planning and working towards this fight for 4+ yrs. He promises to crush BSide and thus far has kept all of his boxing promises. There's a reason BSide ducked all smoke at WW. Only July 29th, the world will see and learn the reason why.
