We got gifted an Eralia ASMR video today

Around 53 minutes it gets really dark and you forget your flashlight. It became light again very quickly here because this game has solar eclipses. One of the best games ever.

This is the sort of thing to show a mental health professional, if you have the luxury of one: from Subnautica being a meme game you'd never play and the trauma of ME2's opening to this game's opening + water to a very positive first impression (1:58:58, 2:09:36, 2:26:55). That is mental growth right there, with video evidence. Anyway Subnautica is immensely satisfying and rewarding, and I'm happy to see that you feel the same so far. It's also surprisingly compact: I was able to play it on a laptop with a touchpad when traveling and still found it enjoyable. I wonder what the people in the neighboring rooms think of the setup, lol. It was funny to hear you say "It's very big which means it can't be fast" at 1:25:27 as jets pass overhead.

When watching your last of us play through, I learned about your fear of water and immediately assumed you would never play subnautica and was sad because it is one of my all-time favorite games. I can’t express how excited I am that you decided to face your fears. It was fun watching you get more bold as the episode went on, starting off terrified of even jumping into the shallows and ending with trying to scan the giant reefback and telling the “sharks” that they’re fine and continuing to explore the creepvine area. Generally the scary areas are where the good stuff is, unfortunately for you. Two pieces of advice with no spoilers or backseating: be thorough in your searching an area so you don’t miss out on anything important and don’t forget to listen to/read logs. Both of those things can make or break peoples love for this game. I know that it’s hard to think about those things right now when you’re scared of your environment, but I’m sure it will come more naturally with time! I look forward seeing your journey through this game and stay safe!

the beauty of this game is that most new players are ALWAYS scared to enter a new biome, but you literally have to. every time. I love it so much. the amount of times I got to a new area, got scared and said "fuck this" left and then 10 minutes later said "shit stop being a baby and go get (insert new resource here)" this may be the one game I would wipe my memory of to experience fresh again if it were possible

Just wanted to say hello, i rarely do ... but i kinda have to ... cause Subnautica is my favorite survival game ... by far and second, as much as i love this game, it is more amusing to see how others deal with this situation. At the same time, seeing you struggle puts me in the peculiar position... also, I can't stop watching 😊 because you're too funny... this is too much. Also, i wanted to say this for a long time. The red grasslands area is a great location for your main base because it's shallow enough to still be able to utilize solar power, deep enough for all vehicles, plenty of room for base expansion, and in a centralized location for access to all other biomes/resources in the game.

I've known about this game for years but I never played it because I figured it was just another survival building game. I started watching you play it and instantly downloaded it and started playing. I've put about 10 hours into the game over this weekend and I love it! I love watching how panicked you get too and how insane this would be if you could be loud. But part of this is even funnier watching you actively trying to avoid screaming. hahaha. I wonder if anything will happen where you instinctively let out an audible loud scream. This is fun, thanks for playing it!

Great progress! I'm only gonna give this one tip because the game tried to tutorialize it, but your inventory was full: the knife gives fiber mesh from vines. Oh good you found it already :)

The fact that "thalassophobe plays Subnautica" is a legit subgenre on this platform is a real testament to how great this game actually is. As entertaining as it is, I think the novelty would wear thin quickly if the game didn't hold up on its own. Plus, I think the way the game expertly builds the story and draws the player into the mystery really seems to help people overcome their fear, at least enough for them to push themselves well beyond their normal comfort zone. Would you say that's accurate for you? It's great to watch! I'm really enjoying your video!

I'm a huge fan of this game and underwater stuffs. So this is like my cozy game. I CAN see how underwater stuff scares people. It actually does scare me as well but for me it's a fun kinda scared. Now, granted I'd never be able to dive or swim in the open ocean, a boat is fine. Anyways, watching you play this is both funny and relaxing. I'm enjoying this very much so I really hope to see you keep playing it. Completing it was really rewarding for me, I didn't think I was good enough at games to play this, let alone beat it. It's seriously a great game, so full encouragement and hopes you keep playing. 😃

i have fear of Spiders, big deep oceans/water too, plus height. It all started in the childhood. Funny about my fear of height: i also love the fantasy of being able to fly like Superman. so its my biggest fear but also my biggest dream XD you did really great so far. Keep on exploring. every little step against the fear is a step of becoming stronger and braver ;)

By now it feels like I've seen the majority of Subnautica playthroughs on youtube, and I've gotta say that I haven't seen anyone trying to be silent while playing this game. It certainly adds a certain comedic element to the suspense. 😂

I know its not easy for you trying to overcome your fear, but the more that you dive in the easier it will get. Scan everything you see and read all the info on what you scanned. Try not to panic, just take a deep breath or a few and only attempt anything when you are ready. The creatures you are facing in the shallows are a minor inconvenience giving you an occasional bite but not life threatening. I'm talking about the Stalkers that swim around the Kelp forest. You are doing fine, given that you have a fear of deep water. Dont let your fear rule your play through and enjoy the world building that the devs have put into the game. Its a well loved game for a very good reason and one of the best survival games out there.

I cheered loudly enough to wake the neighbors when this came up in my feed. I watched your Red Dead series but Subnautica is my true first love. The joke is on you though. It's still a story game in disguise. Be brave Eralia. Only through fear do we have the opportunity to be brave! I think I'm going to love this...

I don't interact with deep water in any capacity on a regular basis and I discovered I was scared of it after I bought an ocean explorer game😅(it wasn’t even scary, you just swam around and took photos of fish but i was shaking with fear). My brother then thought that Subnautica would be a great activity for sibling bonding.

In the Options of the Game you can activate, that the game is always pausing when you enter your data pad. - That is really usefull and no cheating!

I've never played Subnautica but after watching you play it I'm adding it to my list😁 aka my giant backlog 😆.

you now have two tanks one high capacity one low, nothing is wrong with that you can use both when one tank gets low replace with the other but when you breach let one on you fill and replace with empty so both tanks are full. you just have to live with less storage but more air.

I saw that you discovered that the game doesn't pause when your inventory is open, but there is a setting that will change that if you want, especially if you need to pause the game frequently for work or just to calm down... Morning like drowning while you think you're paused.
