There are fungi and other microbiology that live on the bottom that control decomposition cycle that returns and replenishes all the nutrients needed in that ecosystem. That all gets killed and destroyed by this tillage. The algal blooms that are the result, use up all the oxygen and block out the light that comes through the surface, choking the remaining life there of breathable air. It’s the oxygen in the system that keeps the ecosystem healthy. If you take it away…everything will start to go anaerobic.

That's a very healthy looking sea. Amazing amount of good fish. Let's hope it stays like it.
