Librarians also give emeralds for ink sacs, and you're gonna have plenty of librarians, so just build a squid farm

@space kid Nope. that´s not the limit, you can cure a villager multiple times decreasing the price until it reaches 1 I have Librarians and Cartographers with the max discount possible, and Librarians sell Glass blocks, and with that glass blocks I sell them to the Cartographers, so Infinite emerald source! And yeah, I can use farms for trading but i am comfortable with that

Did you ever consider Rayworks Gold and Barter farm? It was a single kill chamber version of Ilmangos (it was much more fun to watch all the platforms funnel into one kill chamber) and since it used the exact same mechanics, it produces gold igots, in which a piglin with a full inventory grabs only gold ingots and barters while you afk. Pretty sick concept, honestly.

With regards to any sort of farm, the ones I'm most interested in are the ones that are scalable. Most farms go for rates, which for me just don't matter that much because I'm just building for myself or a few people, not a whole server. What I care about is how long it takes to build, including collection of the items to build it.

Well... it doesn't take much time to defeat the dragon, I'm a noob and I took about 3-4 days (real life) of constant playing to build a house, get all basic supplies, go to end world and defeat the dragon. Then you actually start playing the game.

Please do this with iron farms - I know about 6 common designs and want to know which ones are best. :) Great vid, and I built the 4th one, the one you guys built. Don't care about a couple hrs building if you're going to spend all those hours AFK and get huge drops. I find the portal gold farm almost as easy (not fast) as the beginner one, and produces rates better than all but the 'heck no' redstone one. IMO it's the best of both worlds, although no xp but that's why we build (and then compare) Enderman farms.

Well, in my Skyblock 4 I usually throw 6 stacks of gold ingots to around 30 piglins trapped into 4 walls to trade them (in 5 minutes they consume all the 6 stacks), so... Nothing is enough ;)

The ilmango farm is my go-to XP farm. I don’t get why everyone talks about trashing the rotten flesh and swords though. I use the rotten flesh to trade with a few clerics in my trading farm for emeralds (which then gets traded for red stone) and i filter the swords into a smelting system that then feeds back into my gold nuggets storage. The only waste is the XP from enchanted swords but the farm is so good that that is negligible. Plus I haven’t had to mine for red stone in months.

For emeralds you have raid farm. Trading to get emeralds for us is pure waste of time, cuz in this same time you can get tons of emeralds more than in regular (trading) way

I would suggest making raywork's combo gold/bartering farm. Its basically illmango's farm but less expensive and more efficient. Probably one of the best possible farms to make

I have watched Wattles' gold farm building and it's like ilmango's spawing platform but you will use swords to kill the mobs like Gnembon's. It also has sorting system so I think that's perfect to build.

I definitely would recommend gnembons gold farm. I have it in my world but I did not make a collection system and it is a super easy farm to build from my experience just takes a while to build. To counter the spawn proofing problem I just fly away and come back and there are so many that a lot of them die to entity cramming

Gnembon himself built a version with fewer platforms so the afk spot is higher and he wouldn't have to spawn proof. Not quite as fast, but fast enough. Personally, I never build exactly someone else's design. Always more fun to bodge together ideas and modifications. Ilmango's farm idea is the most amusing to me... It depends on a bug, but that's just more reason to build one now.

regarding spawn proofing, how about making a flying tnt bomber that clears the area completely, it is automated and quite fast. If not, just afk the minimum distance at build limit for insane rates. Gnembon's farm is the most practical one as it uses far fewer magma blocks which are a pain to mine due to lava everywhere. The redstone bit is quite doable too.

Side note: The Blast Furnace allows you to melt metal tools/armor. So you can attach an auto-smelting farm to cycle the gold swords back into gold ingots. Lava buckets FTW as fuel.

If anyone is trying to recreate ilmango's gold farm in 1.19 the killing by entity cramming through minecarts won't produce xp any longer, so i would recommend that you build gnembon's design if you would still like the option to gather xp.

you could technically use looting if you use two accounts. Just place a layer of honey blocks over the hoppers and swing away. But it would probably be more practical to build an enderman farm because 25k nuggets an hour which is enough for what I use it for.

No, looting effect only applies if you kill the mobs with the sword, unfortunately. In ilmango's farm, despite counting as player kill, looting is not applied. gnembon talks about that in a video.

I made the ilmango farm from your tutorial a year ago. It's great. Aren't they changing some mechanics with zombie piglins (or maybe changed already, I haven't played in a while) that makes gold farms less effective unless you kill them yourself?

To improve the farms you might be able to add an auto smelter to smelt the gold swords and get even more golden nugets

Yeah but you only get like one or two from the swords, and compared to the giant amounts of nuggets, it isn’t worth it to go through all that trouble just for a couple more nuggets

7:03 for me, that looks really easy to build and with new tinted double glass it will be faster to get glass because you won't need a lot of sand to smelt

@Thucc gnembgon's farm is very efficient and easy to build but needs a lot of Materials The portal based farm is also good for gold but needs alot of magma and obsidion Ilmango's farm aur the simple gold farm would be best for begginers in my opinion I built the simple one in my survival world and it helps me alot to get enough gold for golden carrots and golden apples

6:15 in this case without using looting iii or manually, if do it makes over 18k gold ingots/h. I modified this ilmango farm by make it manually so it drastically increased drop rate.
