Confessions of a Testing Newbie
My first programming job didn’t put any emphasis on testing, so I joined the party a little late. Armed with little knowledge and zero technique, I set out to introduce tests into an existing project. Setting a goal for having your code testable changes your entire perspective about design and implementation. In this talk I’ll share my experience of learning about testing and how it impacted my subsequent code design. I’ll also discuss how I got my team on board and how we incorporated testing into our workflow. I did encounter some interesting challenges which I feel others can benefit from hearing.
