In this video we power our Bigfoot Truck Camper with this new power station by Anker. It has a 2400 Watt inverter and a 30 amp plugin which means you can run almost anything you could imagine in your camper (except very old rooftop AC's with really large startup surge). For us it's going to work out really well and will allow us to power all of our systems while camping off-grid. Let me know what you think in the comments below! - Justin

Whoa. Nate's changed a little in the last few weeks since he was last seen!! He wasn't your size then. Great to see an update on him!! In the meantime, this vid reminds me how far you've come from the tiny channel you started, to one where you're able to promote some pretty cool equipment. You've been able to do some really good work, and it's been fun to be along for the ride watching your dreams come true. Strong work, Justin!!

Make sure that 5.9 isn't a #53 block. They're thin walled in the water jacket area and have a tendency to crack. Good luck it looks like a great rig!

Nice video! If you wanna use your AC, look into wiring in a soft start. Will easily work then, but you'll obviously want some serious solar to back it up. Definitely more of a challenge with a truck camper, and spatial limitations. I am getting ready to pickup a Nash 24M OTG, and plan to do all electric, but use a Bluetti AC300. Still deciding on solar solution for keeping the input. I would have plenty of roof to add more panels, but I am thinking semi-mobile or fully mobile panels to better situate them as needed. Will be fun getting it all figured out for sure. good luck on your new system....and I would definitely look into better ventilation for your power station...cheers!

A bit of tight space for cooling the Anker. Ventilation surrounding the vents is necessary.

the product s great but you cant open the solar charging remotely, after the 767 shuts down due to no power demand for 6 hours. Thats a feature i would like to have. To use the app and be able to open the solar charge according to my needs.

Just checking out your experience with the Anker 767. These solar generators are all new to us but I went with the Anker 767 because I was so impressed with the hefty cell phone charger I got from Anker a few years back. From what you're describing here we made the right choice. We have a 7 cu. Ft.. Freezer in the basement. Will it have any issue with that? We're waiting on 2 *200 watt solar panels... can't wait to experiment.
@MobileDwellings
@MobileDwellings Рік тому
Right I went with Anker too because it's a brand that I know that has been around for decades. With 400 watts and the 767 as long as you're getting some solar input you can definitely run that fridge forever!

@@MobileDwellings Hi! Hope you see this comment. I really want to pull the trigger on this product but I read online that you cannot use it while solar is charging it. Then your comment threw me off guard saying you could run the fridge forever. Which is it, can you perpetually charge and power a fridge assuming good weather/sun? Or would you have to unplug the appliances for a few hours a day while you charge up and hope your stuff in the fridge doesn't go bad? Plz help, thanks!
@MobileDwellings
@MobileDwellings Рік тому
@@jessemiles5856 Hi Jesse. Thanks for reaching out to me about this. I did a quick google search and found this: support.anker.com/s/article/Do-Anker-power-banks-support-pass-through-charging#:~:text=Unfortunately%2C%20Anker%20power%20banks%20do,they%20are%20being%20charged%20themselves. I see how that could be a little unnerving! Is this what you read online by chance or was it something else? I believe this was written before the 767 was released and doesn't apply to it. Anyway I wanted to double check for you so I did two tests today: I plugged the Anker 767 into the wall and it started charging at around 1400 watts. I then turned the inverter on and ran an angle grinder through an AC outlet. It worked. Then I plugged my computer into a USB C DC outlet. It worked. So yes you can charge with AC and use both AC and DC circuits. Then to simulate a solar panel input (the 767 has one input whether you use a 12v car charger or a solar panel array to charge it) I plugged the 767 into another power bank's 12v car charger outlet. I then ran the same test, and both AC and DC circuits worked. So I can confirm that yes you can use these circuits while charging with either an AC or a DC input.

@@MobileDwellings That is great to know, thanks so much for looking into it and testing things out. I found a comment on this youtube video which got me thinking, then yes, I did see on their site as well that they don't and that is what threw me off (assuming maybe that is for their small backup batteries). This is the video that in the comments mentioned no pass through charging. Glad you provided otherwise. Probably going to pull the trigger on this unit. ukposts.info/have/v-deo/enaQqqSmbqunr4k.html

Is the max out 2300 or 2400w? How loud is the fan? The jackery and bluetti are too loud to work indoor!

what i want to know is for van life is it better to get this or set up battery's and eltrical price wise
@MobileDwellings
@MobileDwellings Рік тому
If you do your own assembly work they are quite comparable in price if you account for the 5 year warranty provided by Anker (there are cheaper products by less known companies with worse warranties). The questions to ask yourself are the following: is this unit enough for me? For a van with Anker's expandable battery pack it absolutely is. The second question is would I rather learn about and put together my own custom off grid setup? If the answer to that is no than I'd go for the Anker or something like it.
@diamondly6250
@diamondly6250 Рік тому
@@MobileDwellings i was wondering if bought solar panels from renogy could i plug them straight into this?
@MobileDwellings
@MobileDwellings Рік тому
@@diamondly6250 the Anker uses XT60 connectors so the Renogy panels would have to have XT60 connectors first of all to be plug and play. If they are than they are very likely to meet the charging parameters of the 767. If you link the panel you're interested in here I don't mind confirming for you.

how is the weight compared to the 757? I have that one and am considering returning that one for this one
@MobileDwellings
@MobileDwellings Рік тому
It's about 24 more pounds. I've used the Anker 757 extensively and moving the 767 with it's two handles is definitely harder. It's a much thicker unit so a little unwieldy. Of course you have the option to wheel it around so a bit of a tradeoff. The big difference of course is the 2400 watt inverter. With that inverter you can run almost anything you can think of.
@faithrada
@faithrada Рік тому
Since the 767 is our first model I have nothing to compare to. It is definately a 'team lift'.. but the two sturdy handles made it no problem for these 2 senior citizens to move about. 👍 The wheels are great too.

so compared to jackery or bluetty are they or do they do the same thing..?
@MobileDwellings
@MobileDwellings Рік тому
This one uses a battery chemistry that is more stable and lasts longer than Jackery. It's very comparable to similar Bluetti units. The standout feature for me is the 5 year warranty and the fact that Anker is a very established brand that I can trust will be around for the life cycle of the product. The others are likely to be here too but over 5 years a lot can happen.
