The Tetris® 99 31st MAXIMUS CUP event runs from 11 p.m. PT on December 15 to 10:59 p.m. PT on December 19. To participate, you’ll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online member* and play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period. You’ll earn event points based on your placement in each match. Once you’ve accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by the Kirby’s Dream Buffet game!
*Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online features. This game includes an in-game purchase option for users who do not have a membership. Not available in all countries. Internet access required for online features. Terms apply.

I am quite happy with how much love Kirby has been getting this year :). From Kirby and the Forgotten Lands releasing to a live concert featuring many iconic Kirby songs to storybook videos dedicated to Kirby's adventures to Crystal Shards getting added to NSO to Return to Dreamland getting a deluxe release to Kirby Right Back at Ya anime getting a blueray release to even him showing up as part of a tetris cup now. Am quite pleased! Kirby was my childhood growing up. I remember the simpler days where I used to play Superstar Ultra on my DS with my older brother. When you get older you start to miss the days where you had more time on your hands to enjoy the little things and not feel overworked or stressed trying to get your future together. Poyo! Thanks Kirby for being apart of my life! 😊😁

@@toonzelda3353 youtube really needs to fix their reply system. But yes I agree with you! Kirby was my childhood and is still my favorite series! It's such a big part of my life and has inspired me so much. The transition to 3D was better than I imagined it would be and this whole year has been so great seeing all of the love for the guy. He got a game award and a few in Japan as well and we still have return to dreamland deluxe to look forward to, not to mention his future in general! I'm very excited!

I remember playing the DS games like super star ultra, squeak squad and mass attack all the time and I think when Return to Dreamland came out I fell even more in love with the series. Even when people didn't like star allies as much, I still had full trust in HAL and what they could do next because I feel like I just fully understand their perspective on game design now that I've been following the series for so long

It's a shame they didn't use the remix of Chef Kawasaki and Gryll's theme or one of Drawcia's themes, it had enough energy to be the perfect theme for near the end of a match of Tetris 99. Heck, of the three themes they used from Fire Emblem Three Houses' theme was The Apex of the World which is the final map theme for two of the routes in that game.

At this point, pretty much every Kirby game released on the Switch has gotten one of these... except Star Allies. Also, is that MUSIC FROM THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY MUSIC FESTIVAL I HEAR?!
