It is real fun to see that. Here is an interesting fact about the German language. This language works like a construction kit and you can build words out of nouns as long as they are in relation to each other. I'll give you an example: Imagine there is a road. This would be Straße in German. And at the road there is a sign which is Schild in German. This probably would be a road sign in English and a Straßenschild in German. But if you want to say something about the stand (der Stiel) of that road sign then you would talk about the road sign stand, which perhaps wouldn't exist in English but in German it does exist. It would be the Straßenschildstiel. And now imagine you want to talk about the foundation (das Fundament) where the stand of the road sign is fixed in. Then it would be the Straßenschildstielfundament (would be the road sign stand foundation). And now imagine you want to speak of the outer boundary (die Begrenzung) of that foundation. Then you would have the Straßenschildstielfundamentbegrenzung. And finally someone placed a little fence (der Zaun) to make the outer boundary of the foundation visible to pedestrians. Then I guess it woud be the "road sign stand foundation boundary fence" which is the Straßenschildstielfundamentbegrenzungszaun. This doesn't work with any word but as I mentioned with words that are related to the former one.

In Germany we dont say "could you pls turn the music out" when its after 10 pm. we say "Sach ma hast du aufn Tacho geguckt? Es ist 22 Uhr! Das ist Ruhestörung! Das jibt ne Anzeige" and I think thats beautiful

And don't forget our lovely German compounds! We like to combine two (or more) nouns into one just to drive foreign folks crazy! For example, the manufacturer (Hersteller) of small matchboxes (Streichholzschächtelchen) is a Streichholzschächtelchenhersteller. If he has a little daughter (Töchterchen), she certainly is a Streichholzschächtelchenherstellerstöchterchen. Yes, I can pronounce that. Very easily. And note the inserted "s" which indicates a hidden genitive to make the word even longer and things a bit more complicated. Oh yes, it is such a lovely, wonderful language!😉😄
