I just recently bought a 96 Bronco and am really happy I did. Doug forgets- to tell you how this "truck" can turn around in a rather short space and is , in my opinion, quite nimble even with all that play in the steering. Can tow loads easily. Fun factor is way off in this video.

I love this video. I mean no disrespect when I say it's entertaining to see someone unfamiliar with Broncos giving a genuine review of them. It's like if a Trekkie or Star Wars nerd who has never seen a football game gave 110% effort into creating the most genuine and heartfelt documentary about a specific football game.

Glad to see that the owner takes such good care of it. I'd probably throw on some BFG KO tires (also used on stock OEM bronco models in that generation). But glad to see it serves the owner well, a testament to ford tough.

The first car I drove was my parents' '81 Bronco, it was the smallest engine, no options whatsoever. It was quite a bit more crude than the '96 in this review. The clutch throw was about a mile long with a narrow engagement point. Manual locking hubs you had to wade into the mud to lock up. It could only go about 82 mph full-throttle and shook like crazy, but it would idle up a curb in low gear. Speeds were slower then, I got my first ticket for going 72 on a highway where the speed limit is 75 now.

LOVE this bronco. My mom had same exact one but blue cloth seats & 2 tone blues on outside. I was just talking about how much I missed it growing up yesterday & wish she still had it so I could put a crate engine in it. They are so hard to find & still expensive, even if rusted & blown engine

At 8:06 The doors.... My 1994 Ford F-150 XLT Eddie Bauer edition had doors exactly like that, except they were the light tan color of Eddie Bauer....wish I still had that truck. At 12:57 "Power Point" In another video you called it a power port, on my pickup I believe it was called a power port as well. It was not a cigarette lighter plug. A cigarette lighter only had a small fuse in it. The power port or PowerPoint had a 15 or 20 amp fuse. It was the first port that was used for running electrical equipment.

Crazy that Doug has to describe what quarter windows are now. These definitely need a comeback.

Family member had a brand new one of these in the mid 90s..he called it the OJ mobile. It was white too. Thing was awesome. Good ride, went off road well... Lots of room.

In the late ‘80s, I had a 1984 Bronco - with a manual. Four gears, but first was a granny, so three daily gears. The clutch pedal effort was like 3,000 pounds (give or take). Loved it...

So critical about a 25 year old vehicle. I've had an 88 and a 91 Bronco. Loved those things. I love the simplicity of kdler vehicles. We rented a Cadillac Escalade a couple years ago, and even after a week of driving it, we couldn't figure out all the touch screen crap. Only reason I'm not a Bronco driver right now is gas mileage. Could only squeeze 10mpg max. Combined with my 91.

A little too low of a score on the fun factor and cool factor bro. You only covered on road capabilities, when off road they are really extremely awesome! You can slap a set of 33 x 12.50 size tires on it with stock suspension other than having sometimes having to do small coil booster mod in the front and front bumper mod makes for more closer to a 10/10!

I had a 94 F-150 XL Super cab with the two tone paint and it came with those same wheels. They were nice wheels and shined very well for factory wheels.

My parents had a 92 when I was in high school. Loved that truck. Dad towed our 22 foot Bayliner cabin cruiser with it. Not exactly a light boat, and with that truck you could barely feel it back there. Just a beast. Wish it was still in the family...

My brother had one of these and it was LOUD. I’m not sure if the muffler was just taken off, but it was loud and I loved it. I’m a dodge guy and always will be, but I do like the Bronco. About 2 months after my brother bought the bronco the transmission went out so he sold it for like 200 bucks lol

I believe you missed one aspect of the Bronco worth mentioning. I owned one while living in the mountainous area of South Carolina and my new driveway was cut in by a Bulldozer around the side of the mountain until it could arc up to he property I built my house on. The reason for the story? I could load the Bronco with a weeks worth of supplies and the family and lock the hubs at the base of the drive easily. The rough steepp gravel drive was a breeze for the Bronco while everyone enjoyed the scenery. This vehicle brought people and Nature together without complaint. I felt as if I could point it at a telephone pole and felt that the 5.0 litre V8 would paw those 33 inch tires to the top!

I miss quarter windows so much, one of my favorite things about driving my grandfathers old F-150.

This is an amazing vehicle. Rather have it than most modern SUVs

My old man had an 89 with a 5.0 and it was a 8 out of 10 for fun, posi 9 inch rear end, could lay rubber sideways like crazy. Jumped it on a table top motocross track, had it past the running boards in sticky mud never got stuck, totally stock down to the Firestone tires!

The empty space on the floor was for the manual transmission shifter.

Had one. Awesome SUV. Solid, reliable, simple to maintain. Frequented So Cal mountain areas and was great off road and super in the snow. Eventually downsized to a Chevy Blazer and immediately regretted it 😪

I have a similar ford product. 1994 Ford F-350 Dually and I would like to inform you that at 11:20 the missing area next to the 4x4 and low range 4x4 is for the f-350 diesel. It tells you when you are starting whether it is priming or ready to start.

Growing up, we had a 1990 Eddie Bower Ford Bronco. It had nice diamond plate steps to get into the car. Those were definitely a UAW factory special.
