I have a friend who went to a speed dating thing once back around 2007. He didn’t meet anyone there but afterwards he was sitting at the bar and having a beer and he started talking to one of the guys there. After about 5 minutes of talking, the guy said “I have a cousin and I bet she’d be in to you.” So he called his cousin and told her to come over to the bar. She got there and my friend nearly went home with her that night. They’ve now been married almost 12 years and have five kids. So it kind of worked once at least.
