He's got freakish strength in the clinch. I've never seen someone just pull apart someone's arms to get off such hard shots so close to their bodies.

He is also a very well rounded freestyle wrestler....but after few fights on the mat dude got kicked out the gym 😅 Look his training workout....never seen some of his workout techniques before....really crazy....

@@PeterParker-ff3mz Terrence Crawford has a wrestling background as well - it definitely helps in boxing, with the grappling, creating the right range for their shots, & the way they body up close to their opponent when they feel they're out of position etc...

Daniel Moore I think it could have even been a case that Johnson was still recovering from his knockdown prior to that, or perhaps he thought he’d get Beterviev out of there in the next round. But I agree it was strange he didn’t force the stoppage considering his fast start in round one, it’s not like he wanted it to go the distance

yea he should have been more active but i like the fact that he was poised and patient in his process looking for the shots that count .. because if you rush Beterbiev after a knock down and dont manage to knock him out gassing yourself out will leave you in a pretty shitty situation to deal with in the later rounds .. and Beterbiev is honestly dangerous even after a knock down ..

@ Renard Henry. I believe PEDnelo will not go toe to toe with Beterbiev. Beterbiev is way stronger than Canelo and Canelo knee is getting shot. A brutal knockout artist against a guy with a titanium chin. Say what you will about Canelo, but the dude has eaten some of the best punches like they were nothing. He MIGHT have a chance to force Artur into a point win. It would be a fantastic war, whatever the outcome.

@@Arangggg Beterbiev's rabbit punch is wholly unintended, but accidental. Unfortunate timing of the opponent's ducking when Beterbiev throws his hook. Nonetheless, he needs to be more careful about this, as we see this quite often.

@@Arangggg if the boxer turns his head so that the back is the only thing showing, it’s also against the rules... However it’s normally meant for when someone is ducking really low where there head is near their waste. Rigo is an example of boxer that does this a lot.

The ref didn't say break, he said no and it was clear why he said no -- because Johnson's head was through the ropes. Beterbiev obeyed the instruction and held the punch until his head came bacl into the ring. Then it was open season. Protect yourself at all times.

Canelo also has brutal power and is a much better boxer with much better defence, and a chin that’s 10x as strong as beterbievs

Artur Beterbiev is not underrated, he is clearly a great boxer and a lot of other fighters recognise his talent hence why they duck him. Unfortunately, he is with top rank who are shit promoters. He needs to go with Matchroom boxing so they can promote his name. He deserves it.

Atif Ramzan Matchroom has failed with Bivol, Andrade, Saunders, GGG... I don’t see what they could do with a more difficult Artur? He’s a quiet humble guy from a Chechen descent...he’s always gonna struggle to be a big name. Arturs best bet is to be around his friend Khabib if he wants to tap into the Muslim casual market and self promote but he doesn’t care about fame...just legacy. Hence he’ll remain underrated

Johnson is fighting Mikhalkin for the European title and Mikhalkin is no joke, really slick southpaw with a good chin and decent power. Think he was interim IBO champ too so Johnson could fight Boesel next who's also a good contender. He's in line to be top 10 at 175.
