"Acting is like sculpture, it's what you take away from yourself to reveal the truth of what you're doing that makes a performance" - Orson Welles
I wanted to continue our cinema projects, now concentrating on "acting".
If any of your favourite actors (or movies) have not made it into this under 3 minute video, then I am sorry - what I have included here is scenes that have resonated with me over the years. Movies are provided in the video as TONS of you ask in the comments. Here's hoping this will clear up all the confusion.
Wonderful monologues from the great Orson Welles and Elia Kazan.

This is why many actors and actresses have depression, they become a completely different person when acting and it takes away a part of themselves. People don't know how hard it is until they've tried it.

I love acting. It's small and doesn't really get shown to anyone when I do it, but it matters so much to me. The ability to become someone I'm not, or someone I struggle so much to be. The freedom of anything. I want to play the perfect hero who gets everything he wants, as it's what I dream to be. I want to play someone angry at the world, as I want to shout at it for all the horrible things that happen in it. I want to play the darkest villian so I can unleash my anger without consequences or without judgement. I'm only playing a fool and the audience is me. All of those things are in me, it's just about trying to find the best one but I so often don't. It's true freedom, true escapism. I'm playing a fool, and the only audience is me.

You don’t know how much these new perspectives help an actor achieve who he really is. Great video 👍🏻

A big thank you, to all the actors and actresses who have touched my heart by only but not only acting, for showing me the beautiful different and extraordinary worlds that come from the mind of a human being.

It's such a beautiful thing like you don't even need language to communicate. You know how they say communication is like only 7% words and context? I loved this video!

Acting may be like sculpting, it may be the most liberating feeling in the world, it may require the most hard efforts, it may be highly satisfying and rewarding or greatly depressing and sucking the soul out of your body... whatever it maybe... But in the end, IT'S JUST ACTING. You cannot expect to BECOME A PHENOMENON OVERNIGHT, or have the right to interfere with people's lives, or consider yourself above laws and regulations, or expect extra amount of respect from the people even when you're not performing. An actor is a mere human. You can be an actor's fan, but you cannot/should not be his devotee. An Actor Should Be Treated With The Due Respect He/she Deserves, nothing more nothing less.
