23 minutes in and I am loving it. Very happy that I’ve given up drugs and alcohol and that I’m clear headed once again. Getting sharper by the day and grateful for heeding my wife’s advice.

I remember being younger, I got a loan with the intention of getting a buy to let mortgage, in the end I got tempted into getting a car instead. By trying to keep with the Jones’s I foolishly squandered my money on something that depreciated and brought me no return. Worst mistake of my life and set me back for many years. Any youngsters reading this in your early 20’s, make wise investments now and you can be free by the time you’re in your early 40’s.

This book is almost uncannily what you could call "ahead of it's time." Just listening to a 19th century gentleman extoll the evils of addiction to smoking, drink and drugs is nearly mind-blowing.
