For someone who is mature with world of experience. I am glad I listened to it. However, would not recommend it to anyone without life experience. It could lead you down a rabbit hole or negativity. And you will question every single decision in your life to a point you will Die as an unhappy person. Has few good anecdotes to think about. But, most are one sided and can be easily counter argued.

@@sflchinita2010 I believe he says this because we all do these things and MOST of these are difficult to impossible to stop unless you really slow down and think about it. If you try to understand why you make every decision, you might go into analysis paralysis to eliminate every one of these bias's before you allow yourself to make a "clearly thought, thought" and this will drive you crazy. If you have some life experience, you will be more prepared to know WHEN to slow things down and make a clearer decision on important things and when good enough is fine for MOST of life's decisions. 6:51:25 chapter 90- overthinking

When I started the book I already had read the Taleb's 3- books & the Kehneman's "Thinking, Fast & Slow" [ though not completely] so it was a great help me to understand very clearly the situations described in it. "The Art of Thinking Clearly" has highly readable, simple & short episodes that would definitely question back about our highly biased concept, attitudes, choices & selections in our day to day lives and then it would definitely improve the our way of thinking system for the good.

also: the book relies heavily on anecdotal evidence and social psychology/ behaviorial economy, a field which is often accused of sacrificing rigorous protocol for fun story telling ( Their empirical results are usually very hard to reproduce by others, casting doubts on their validity) The author even quotes Dan Ariely who was recently put on the spot for scientific fraud - he used falsified data to push his points. It does not mean that the book is worthless - just don't take it as scientific truth and keep a (very) critical eye on it.

The book gives very impactful insights, but life is not about statistics. It's more than that. This book may help us to escape our biases. But who says biases are wrong in every situation.

A lot of people think this book is pessimistic. But it’s not. This book informs us that some bouts of emotion or biases can blind us. He knows some of these biases are inevitable. The books purpose is to inform us of these biases, so we can make or attempt to make LOGICAL decisions.
