@@Chrischyun thanks. 8th note triplets I don’t have much of a problem 1/4 note triplets are a pain because the extra syllable but the real problem is when the tempo is so fast. At 114 bpm it’s really hard just to count 1+2+. At about 105 it falls apart. I’ve read most people just don’t count when it’s that fast and just feel the rhythm or whatever. I struggle with my rhythm though without counting. Something I clearly need to work on.

Counting tri-pl-let makes it harder to count 1 2 3 4. Counting 1 tri plet 2 tri plet etc. makes it easier to keep track of which beat it is on. Imagine keeping track of 7.75 bars of 8th note triplets. It's hard to know when to come in on the last quarter note, for example.
