My wife wanted that wood tile look for flooring in our home living room & hallway leading to the bedrooms.. Took alot blood sweat & beers 🍻 but we got it done after a few weeks..I layed it down like tile using a special floor adhesive with the recommended notched trowel. Used fine saw & sanding dust mixed with a shellac for grout & knot filler. Rented a floor sander to smooth it out then hit it with a couple coats of walnut stain followed by one coat of wax free shellac & finally finished it off with a couple coats of Bona Traffic HD commercial satin, it's always a hit with guests who see it for the 1st time. Even repeat visitors just zone out starring at all the wood grain & knot patterns..

When I worked @ Fitzpatric & Weller, they never wasted any thing. Just as my Elders taught me. I don't know how much they ever put back. But it was a Job!!! It used to cost me lose to $50 a weak for Gas. But Iwas just so proud to have a job !!!

I like that double scribe. Also cool to see people rescuing scraps instead of wasting/throwing it in the trash like 90% of people do.

Поверхность столешницы испещрена бороздками, что очень хорошо! Если стол стоит на улице во время дождя, то вода будет стекать с его поверхности по этим бороздкам. Мастер решил проблему дренажа с помощью столярных технологий. Даже животным понравилось, а подписчики - конечно же в восторге!

I love this project, and I especially love the way you used recycled materials. I bet a project using different types of wood would make an interesting look - something like a wall with miscellaneous types of recycled wood. Nice of you have a shop full of all the proper wood working tools and machines...looks a bit labor intensive... If you charged by the hour to build it a lot of folks couldn't afford it , but it is a very nice piece.
