That is the very essence of civil discourse. As a black man, I understood Ye's stance on the slavery thing, what he needed to do was to clarify. He basically said it appeared to him to be a choice due to the man power we had as a people, but he failed to realise that they (whites) had the power (the social system, the weapons, the resources, etc.), which rendered us theoretically powerless (which manifested itself in reality that's now our history). That's why slavery lasted for so long, or at least one of the major reasons. That was his only mistake - His articulation of his profound insight (profound insights require great articulation and eloquence, Kanye lacks that to that level). The guy from TMZ had the correct stance only for that reason, other than that he was just being an emotional idiot who couldn't contextualize Kanye's perspective and failed to consider the fact that he (Kanye) just didn't tie it up well.
