Really cool seeing Jordan & Kobe sticking up for AI. Iverson was easily one of my favorites during the dark days of the Bulls. As a kid who grew up in that era, AI was the most influential but more importantly, inspirational player of all time in my opinion. You can mention the cornrows, the fashion, the jewelry, the tattoos, and all that other stuff but what he really did is he made average sized kids feel like “maybe I really could play college ball or even go pro if I just work hard enough.” And I know from experience that just that thought is what kept me at the courts until lights cut out on a lot of nights. Forever a favorite and a hero to me personally.
