I love this scene, but I’m glad they cut it. I think they could’ve included it if they wouldn’t have had Miranda say thank you to Andy. everything else could’ve fit in the film.

Agreed!

Oh, it was pretty clear that Miranda "approved of" Andy before that. I don't think it makes a difference either way. Yet again another misleading headline to get some hits.

Good Lord. What CAN that be like? Actors must really wonder what they are going to see at the first screening

Oh yeah, better they cut this.

Why do you say that?

Saying thank you to a subordinate was very out of character for Miranda. The "save" that Andy so masterfully executed would have impressed Miranda, but only because Andy was doing her job well. Doing ones job wouldn't ever elicit a "thank you" from Miranda. However, it would instigate the decision to take Andy to Paris and not Emily. I think the scene could have been left in if Miranda had just maybe looked and blinked at Andy in a non-cold manner silently implying gratefulness without the bystanders knowing. And let's face it, if anyone can convey all that with just a blink of an eye, it would be Meryl Streep.

@@AndrewMacLaine I think it would have been better for Miranda to give Andy the look and for Emily to edgily mouth thank you in a sarcastic but sincere way. maybe with an eye roll. Emily had not known what to do or how to respond. It could have been the turning point for andy and Emily's relationship because they developed a strange friendship
