D. Smith I guess it is mostly because "Persia" Changed it's name to Iran in 1940s. We can find Greece amd Egypt on the map, but not Persia!Hence many tend to forget it! And Persians is not an accurate term, Achaemenid is a lot more accurate (for Persians have built 6 empires in the history)
