So some things that weren't shown. You need to have the items you want to recalibrate/optimize in your inventory. The exotic "capacitor" needs to be reconfigured once before you can recalibrate/optimized bc the 12% damage to armor cannot be stored in library, so you need you reconfigure it once to bypass that "bug". hope this answers any questions regarding the things mentioned!

BIG QUESTION! im SHD lvl 486 and i messed up on my watch putting points in places that i shouldn’t of and its starting to make a difference in my builds. is it viable to make a new character and spec my points out the way i want and continue with the new one or stick with the old?

So to put it simply when you optimize you increase the stat. You make it better. If you recalibrate you can change one stat for another? So if it has armor regeneration on it, I use recalibrate to change that to skill haste? Is that a bare-bones simple way to look at those two things?

Quick question 🙋🏻‍♂️ New to The Division When it comes to Core Attributes, Attributes, and Talents am I only allowed to Recalibrate one item? For example: I need to put Creeping Death (Talent) on my Backpack 🎒 but there is also one Attribute I want to change.

I like the reduction in exotic components needed to upgrade. I just upgraded my St Elmo's from 23 to 24. It took 20 exotic components before, now only takes 6 and the next upgrade will take only 7

I thought we could recalibrate exotics? Is this only available through reconfiguring and therefore losing potentially optimised stats?

Why can't we recalibrate 3rd attribute on exotic weapons without having to constantly re-roll them? I used up all my exotic components trying to get my EB to roll with DTTOC and decent stats. Annoying and pointless changes by the devs.

Any way you came make a vid of how much and what resources it costs to recalibrate due to the bug I don’t know what I need, and am unable to calibrate anything even after all the farming I did. Btw love your content.

Good point that you can do this on the fly. And not even go to the actual station. If you click on an item you are carrying. Follow the prompts. Nice. But when you dont have enough materials it doesnt tell you the materials you need.

What do those green arrows mean as well ?. I have a some green arrows in various weapons and gear, green arrows pointing up. Explantion appreciated ?.

If you go to optimize and dont have materials, the "x" is grayed out and the materials required section just says you dont have enough. You have to hold the x to get the materials to pop up.

Did they already decrease the cost of expertise upgrades or was that not implemented yet?

Anyone else notice some of the library talents are missing? I lost thunder strike and possibly a few others. Also don't have any ability to recalibrate any of my exotics.

When I am looking through my goods, I used the 9 square grid to select the sort style I wanted (new, brand, trash, etc.) This seems to have vanished. Can you find out why?

You do a lead in intro, which is fine, but you do another - signature intro after your first intro. Cut out the first intro and go with your signature intro only. It's really weird that you do this.

I get item can’t be optimized due to not enough items. I look at what’s needed, I have them and can’t figure out what I’m missing. The old table let you know what you’re short on

Ironic your using the shield splinterer I was trying to full optimize it and it would let me I had everything for it what do I do

Anyone notice that mags are broken? Can't keep one in the chamber and switch to the weapon, it resets the mag to standard load when you switch to the weapon. I.e. resets to 70 from 71 or 45 from 46.

If there was any feature I would have liked- it would be able to craft the mats needed to upgrade= while tinkering. It sucks when working on a whole new build to remember what you might need for the high end mats- like recons

I reconfigured my capacitor to get dmg to targets out of cover. Was able to optimize the weapon dmg but it won't allow me to optimize dmg to armor. I understand this is due to the new limit on optimization but with the 12% dmg to armor being specific to the capacitor it stinks you can't fully optimize it.

I only have Black Tusk bundle unlocked in crafting. How do I get the rest?

OK, question ?, for example I have the Cuelebre shotgun, I go into the Tinkering station, one of the Core attributes says Damage to Armour 11%, so I want to max this out above 11%, however at the bottom are 2 sections highlighted in red, the first under Recalibration says " you do not have any elements to transfer into this item " the next section below highlighted in red says under Optimisation. " Item attributes need to be extracted " what do these red highlighted areas mean ? all I want to do is raise the Damage to Armour above 11% to max it out. But I cannot do anything to Damage to Armour. Can anyone here explain what this means. ? Thank you.

Any way to change the specialty without going back to BOO or other settlements? If we could swap that, we wouldn't need to go back to base for anything. I do have builds saved that cover most of the different ones so I can swap gear piece by piece.

Waiting for them to finally fix the capacitor's armor damage not being possible to optimize.

Capacitor issue. Library for Damage to Armor is at 6% not the normal 12% Rerolled Capacitor and lost 6% 😢

Yeah, why doesn't it show the materials missing for specific optimizations? Super frustrating. Maybe it's user error...thanks for this though. Helpful Update: materials required do not display for named items or gear set items. Looks like a bug.

Coming back and im thinking nah fuck it. You get to see what ur missing if you run out of a material but if you dont have it just says to get fucked and doesnt tell you what your missing so you can go get it and since i havent been playing for a good while i dont just know ah it just need x more of material y

I've only been playing Division 2 for a few months, and was saving up my mats waiting for this patch for the reduced optimization/expertise costs. Started using the new tinkering system, only to realize a few minutes in that I only had one of the faction materials recipes. Time to grind some more outposts.
