Not really, it's actually easy swim that way, especially going to the surface. Her problem is a panic attack and then she releases her air, which is incorrect unless you are a real mermaid... now she knows better. Maybe she thought it was going to be like the movies? Once she blew out her air, she was a sinker. She dumped that fishtail faster than an F-18 ejection seat... props.

That actually happened to me. I was 55 at the time. I carry a few extra pounds, but not obese. I was with my 6 year old great neice and was trying to be the "cool aunt" by doing all the things she was doing. Mission failed!! It only took one kind guy to help me out.
