The fact that SNSD left the Kpop scene for 5 long years and then they Comeback with Forever 1 in August 2022 with only 3 music show promotion but still charted until MARCH of 2023. They not might be active as a group but Most of these Kpop Group in these list look up to them and literally covered their song left and right.💕💖

2nd Gen is a battle of every girl group regardless what company they are in. 3rd Gen is a clear battle for Twice, Mamamoo, Red Velvet, GFriend and Blackpink. 4th Gen is a battle between gg that is not under big 3. As of now, only aespa can compete in charts that is under big3 (Itzy might have a chance but not as consistent as aespa, even nmixx can’t stand a chance)

There were more digitally successful groups in 2nd gen but you can definitely see who's doing better with longevity, multiple entries and debut position. 2nd Gen → Wonder Girls, Kara, SNSD, f(x), Sistar, 2NE1, T-ara → Miss A, Apink 3rd Gen → Twice, Blackpink, Red Velvet, Mamamoo → GFriend, I.O.I, AOA, EXID 4th Gen → NewJeans, IVE, Aespa, G-Idle → Le Sserafim, ITZY, IZ*ONE, StayC

Aespa is quite inconsistent like Itzy too but it's good that their company noticed the failure of Girls and tried something different. I feel like Itzy and Aespa are currently in the same situation, they either appeal to the local market (Itzy did it with Sneakers and Aespa with Spicy) or they keep trying to appeal to the international kpop market with the sound that once put them high on the popularity lists. As for now, I feel like both groups should focus on the local market, their lastest releases didn't chart well in the international scene but they are still young groups so they still have a chance in the local market like they shown with Sneakers and Spicy. As for Nmixx, I think they will relay mostly in a strong fanbase rather than a general public support unless jype change their market appeal to fully focus in South Korea (we all know that's not gonna happen)

I think it shows that their songs have a lot of wide appeal and replayability (even their bsides and solos would chart well) although perhaps not that mega-hit level bc their songs aren't really designed to go viral with cute choreo or anything

They are not from BIG4 and they are not Mnet privilege we can all be multi stanning and stuff but facts or facts the only queen of 4th gen is IDLE

@@GGidle Cube is by no means an unknown company 😂 I understand what you tryna say tho but you couldn't be more wrong for calling Cube as an unknown company and when (g)-idle debuted, HyunA was still with the company, also Pentagon and TripleH and CLC were doing great in 2018, not to mention BtoB was and still is super popular domestically. They're not Big4 (in 2018 it's still called Big3+ Big Hit), but Cube was also a top company. Whereas when IVE debuted, Starship was in the verge of bankruptcy, MonstaX wasn't doing well domestically, WJSN was losing popularity and their team didn't have enough fund for that many members, Cravity isn't making money. I'm not trying to downplay (g)-idle, they're amazing and Soyeon definitely saved the company's *ss when they went down in a year and two after that, but yeah Cube wasn't an unknown company.

Yeah it's quite clear that their style of music became no longer popular. Their last song Mago had such a short run that I had to go back 3 times to find it, so sad about that - nothing much I like listening to after that and Viviz and CSR didn't even make the chart at all.

Their team is brilliant. Most of the group really took a break whenever they dropped hits, but not Twice's team. They be dropping hit after hit songs to stay on top of the chart.

@onceforever🍭 stream likey and set me free hence why I said "Twice team". It's a collective effort from the management and the idols lmaoo. They won't be doing that if JYP didn't told them to do it that way, they won't be doing that without them managers, runners who keep standing by them and assisting them. It's bigger than the idols, it's an industry that requires talented people, brilliant management team etc. that's why Twice is so successful, because they have all those qualities in their team.

Meanwhile in 2011 there was 2ne1, Kara, T-ara, Secret, F(x), Miss A, Wonder Girls, Brown Eyed Girls, Girls Generation, Orange Caramel, 4Minute, Girls Day, Rainbow, Davichi, and they have to compete with boy groups like 2pm, BEAST, Infinite, Shinee, Super Junior, TVXQ, CNBlue, Big Bang, U-Kiss, FT Island, M-Blaq, and JYJ.. Meanwhile 3rd and 4th boy groups are flop, except for NCT Dream, BTS, EXO, and TXT...

observed that from 2nd gen to early 3rd gen the songs literally are alternately occupying the top and the duration for each are so short for so many songs (the gp's taste goes from one song to another so fast) unlike the mid3rd gen until 4th gen some songs occupy the top for a significant amount of time but yeah, 2nd gen to early 3rd gen is a mess 😂😂😭😭😭😭

Its interesting and sad at the same time. We used to have tons of iconic ggs around 2nd gen, then ggs started to flop during 3rd gen (only twice, bp, rv, mamamoo, gfriend dominating the charts) And we kinda see the revival of ggs on 4th gen 😂😂
