It’s well edited, but this guy really needs to do more research. 2:24 - Accusations and time he left the server don’t line up, he did not leave because of the accusations. 6:35 - Extra detail needed: Grian and Mumbo knew each other, Mumbo Jumbo being the largest Hermit on the Hermitcraft server and Grian being a close second. Their fan bases were already slowly merging due to their previous collaborations, but when Grian joined Hermitcraft it expedited this process. Many fans, including myself, knew that the only thing not having them completely watching Grian was that he wasn’t on Hermitcraft. After he joined, everyone was shocked but not necessarily surprised. He knew Mumbo, and Xisuma would definitely say yes to someone at the same degree and passion as Mumbo is. Somewhere - The ConVex we’re created BEFORE Season 6, and I don’t know when. All I know is that they were a pre established group and were definitely established in or before Season 5. 6:58 - There were a couple pranks in Season 5 from what I remember, and definitely a few in Season 4. Yes Grian revived some of that playful energy, but Grian mostly played into the server’s already playful attitude and just added his to it. He blended in extremely well. 7:08 - I know it’s a self-plug here, but I don’t even know who Stampy is or what that series is. The mini games in Season 6 were extremely well known and tag did become what Grian wanted it to be, which meant the tag game ended because having the tag was the worst thing ever. It went so well he continued to make tag games. 7:42 - Poultry man was created within the first ten episodes, it is Grian with a chicken head on who throws eggs at people. It stared with him filling Mumbo’s starter base with chickens. 8:19 - Mumbo joined as Molebo Gumbo, a joke about him actually being part of the G Team who’s names all had a G. Like IsGall, Zombie Gleo or TanGo. The mole part is because he was a mole for the G Team but said he was part of STAR. This ties into the one at 8:26, because yes the logic doesn’t make complete sense, but their nicknames had G’s in them because he made it that way and everyone just went along with it. He saw Grian and Tango and thought “G-Team!” then the others brought up the lack of G in their name and this made the previously mentioned joke names. Grian kept calling them these until the end of the Civil War 9:15 - This kicks to Season 7 without ever mentioning the Architechs vs ConVex with Sahara and the ConVex shops. This was pretty important as Sahara is still the largest most difficult to build shop made on Hermitcraft due to it’s nearly Amazon (hence Sahara) services. 9:20 - The storyline is always jokingly made, only Season 8 did anything attempting one but we’ll see what this guy says about it. Main thing forgotten here is the mayoral campaigns, meaning Grian had actually voted for Scar. Then he started a turf war on accident. 9:39 - Never mentioned Demise or Tag 2 Electric Boogaloo, which were both made by Grian, but the saddest loss is Decked Out. TangoTek made Decked Out, and Decked Out 2 was in Season 9. 9:52 - Fun Fact: The first time someone mentioned the moon being larger than normal was Mumbo Jumbo saying, “Grian, is the moon big?” 10:12 - A bunch of Hermits were getting burnt out, but the biggest one was Mumbo. He became so burnt out he took a months long break, and him being one of the biggest Hermits caused a dip in viewers. The life series was just a wind of new fresh air. It refreshed the hermits and the viewers as well, The continuous grinding and building takes a big toll on the mind leading to burnouts. Season 9 has been the longest running season (and the best in terms of hermits growing as themselves and their building capabilities).

Secret life wasn’t out of the blue or anything, it was the 5th season of Life Series. He’s been doing it about every 6 months or so since season 8-ish. It’s just for a nice break from the endless Hermitcraft over and over again, and usually fills the gap between hermitcraft seasons nicely Not all hermits are on it either, and I don’t think any fans are worrying if there’s going to be a season 10, as it’s pretty much confirmed.

If I could say this.... 1.) Secret Life is part of the "Life Series." It is its own separate thing. Hermit (not all of them) and non-hermits are playing. Each "Season" I guess you could say, more like chapters really only last around 3ish months. 2.) Hermitcraft is not going anywhere. Viewership did drop mid-through the 9th Season, but that is all servers really. They have to create the lore, then have a big event on it (such as season 6 and the capture the flag, season 7 and the mini-game contest, season 8 and the big moon and world exploding). Viewership dropped before all those event, and rose immediately after. Probably the biggest event in Season 9 was "Decked Out 2." Tango built a behemoth of a game, and probably the most complicated game within Minecraft. 3.) Also, Xisumavoid also announced that there would be another season, so it is definitely not going anywhere.

Also, everyone stopped uploading because they're burnt out. Season 10 will happen, has been confirmed many times, but I think Xisuma said there would be a break in between.

I think you should do some more research because the last part was so inaccurate. Many of the hermits stated that they are excited to start season 10 after a well-deserved break in their final episodes. Also, Secret life is part of the life series that has been going on since 2021 so no, it isn't going to replace hermitcraft, in fact secret life ended before season 9 did. This feels like you were trying to make some huge statement to end the video on that just ended up being misinformation. Keep making videos though! other than the misinformation this was a great video and I hope to see you improve!

I think most of the video is great, but the last few seconds are very random and don't really make any sense, the life series has already gone through multiple seasons, it is definitely not "out of the blue", i agree it was surprising that most hermits somewhat stopped uploading hermitcraft while focusing on secret life but it was in no mean the "end of hermitcraft", and it made sense given the lenght of season 9. And most impirtantly season 10 was already confirmed by most hermits at least 10 days ago. Other than that, the video was very solid, nice job

Secret Life is just the next season of Grian's Life Series SMP. It's been going on for years. The seasons, in order, are 3rd Life, Last Life, Double Life, Limited Life, and Secret Life.

it is quite obvious that the creator, although doing his research well, didn't exactly realize the series Grian was running simultaneously, that being the life series. I know that this video isn't focused on the Life Series, and the creator himself did a good job at making it. It was kind of wrong however to say that Secret Life stole the spotlight of Hermitcraft without researching its history too.

Secret Life was the 5th season of the life series and I doubt the life series will take over hermitcraft because 1. It’s usually pretty short and most seasons only have 6-7 episodes (SL was different and had 9) 2. It focuses on very different things than hermitcraft does. The players don’t build very much and it’s a lot more about surviving, making alliances, and winning.

So, if this video was released 22 hours ago, and Season 9 came to a close in Mid-December, it seems that the information provided here is pretty old. Grian's Life SMP has had several series, including Double Life and Last Life, which never took down Hermitcraft, so implying that Secret Life was going to be the end of Hermitcraft is stretching it, especially considering that Season 9 started in 2022. It's also odd that you didn't really focus at all on Season 9 or mention those who came (Gem) or went (TFC, Wells, etc) in Seasons 8 and 9, despite showing footage of Season 9 throughout your video. I know these things can take a while to make, but perhaps it would've been best to have updated your script while doing your research to including Season 9 facts instead of baseless speculation at the end.

The ending wasn't really all that well done because season 9 was entirely overlooked, season 10 was already been long confirmed and secret life is just the 5th season of Grian's mini series. I'm going to be completely honest, Haven't watched any of the seasons before season 7 but I feel as if you've never really watched hermitcraft or any of the hermits, just did a BIT of the research.

The recap overall is decent, it's the last bit about Secret Life is what bugs me. It really isn't correct that it came out of nowhere as it's literally the _FIFTH_ season of the Life Series, which was started over 2 years ago, back at the end of Season 7, with 3rd Life. It's been a phenomenal short-running series that I and many others absolutely adore to this day, and it definitely didn't ''put Hermitcraft to a halt'' by any means, it just has been slighlty slowing it down for a bit once every couple months. It's nice to have something refreshing like that once in a while. A lot of Hermits have been a part of the Life Series' past seasons and they were perfectly managing to still do HC videos, they were mostly a fun side series for all of them. The most laugh out loud insane claim has to be *10:49* this one. Saying ''this is the new SMP for good'' is hilarious, considering by the time of this video's release Secret Life is already _over,_ because THAT'S exactly what it is, *a short, running, mini, series.*

It's crazy how I end up watching Hermitcraft and loving it. During the pandemic I was playing minecraft and watching tutorials of auto farms. I end up watching Pixlriffs. Then he went to Empires SMP. From there I notice Pearl and Gem who I also watched started at Hermitcraft Season 8. And the rest was history. I became a fan! Crazy how this all started. :D

So a clarification on secret life. This Smp is part of a series known as last life. There have been I believe about 4 iterations know and it isnt that people stopped hermitcraft, but rather the season was coming to an end. I don't know if maybe you just don't watch the channels that much, or missed it in your research, but this video should have know the season ended already since it ended late december.

You forgot to mention that the last season (9) also had an SMP merger with the Empires SMP which is sparking questions of Empires players possibly joining Hermitcraft 10 or them joining together to start a brand new SMP with both sets of players.

The only thing you’re missing here is that the life series has been a thing for a while. They come up with different game modes that have something to do with their hearts or lives. Grian hosts it and it’s just a little break for creators so they can make videos unrelated to hermitcraft. I think it’s partially in an effort to make sure they don’t get burnt out, but it’s also a nice change. Also I’d recommend people watch Hermitcraft anyways if you have the time. It’s a great SMP and I watch all the hermits.

During S5, they did become the "official" recap for the server, but certain Hermits objected to it, so they went back to being unofficial. And that's why they put "By fans" in their channel name

The end of s6 with the skin unjumbler was what got me interested in season 7 and ultimately kept me interested in hermitcraft.

For all the praising you did about Grian joining Hermitcraft... you didn't do much research for this video around Season 9 did you? Plus the "future of Hermitcraft" is literally Season 10, which Xisumavoid confirmed in his videos is happening. And a video between him and Scar kinda hints at it keeping everyone closer together instead of spreading them out so more collab content happens. Not only that, but a few people from Empires are still questioning if Season 3 of that SMP is coming so... it's possible a few of them (especially those in the Life Series who aren't on Hermitcraft yet: Joel, Lizzie, Jimmy, Scott, and Martyn) could join Hermitcraft for Season 10 thanks to the Life Series opening that connection (and the connection of the crossover episodes in Season 9, which you also left out.) And 9 ended strong with Prank Wars, Decked Out, Total Chaos, Rendog's sled/boat race, Doc's monstrously large perimeter, Doc's banned sand duper/egg duper, Scarland, not to mention it was the longest running series at like 20 or so months, spanning over 1.18-1.20, dude did you make the video to tell the entire story of Hermitcraft or did you make it to praise Xisuma's decisions to include Mumbo and Grian?

I will freely admit that I havent been a Hermitcraft fan for that long. Maybe two and a half-ish years now, but even I know that you're really reaching for some of this stuff. Especially at the end. Just to name a few: 1. Hermitcraft has never really had a "story" aside from Season 8 unless you are watching specific people. Stuff like the turf war were mostly just them messing around and having fun. 2. I didn't watch this season, but I know you left out several things from season 7, particularly Decked Out, which is pretty important considering what Decked Out 2 became in later years. 3. Season 8 was really not as much about the story as you make it out to be. There was more story, yes, but it wasn't exactly a main focus until the end. 4. If you did want to highlight the story in particular, you would've mentioned that according to, I believe, Ren's POV, season 8 was canonically a simulation. 5. The fact that the entirety of season 9 was reduced to less than twenty seconds saying that its not really an open community anymore (which is wrong, by the way, as the end of the Dream SMP likely brought new fans to Hermitcraft in search of Minecraft SMP content) is almost disrespectful. Season 9 was truly an incredible season, boasting some of the most incredible things in Hermitcraft history, including the TCG which ended up transcending Hermitcraft and making it into the real world, the huge charity event, the Empires SMP crossover which you'd recognize some of the members of if you looked at the player list for Secret Life, another Grian-started prank war, and most of all, Decked Out 2! Not to mention being Hermitcraft's longest season. 6. The one everybody is talking about. Because it's just... completely and utterly wrong. a) The Hermits did not "go silent" most of them have released dedicated finale episodes during which: b) many of them confirmed Hermitcraft season 10 c) The beginning of Secret Life does not coincide with the end of Hermitcraft. In fact, by the time Grian (who you... seem to be timing this off of based on the "episode 50" comment) posted his Hermitcraft finale video, his Secret Life finale had already been posted 10 days prior. d) Not only is Secret Life already over, but it isn't even the first in its series. In fact, it is technically the 5th season of the Life Series or traffic SMP e) SL wouldn't and wasnt meant to replace Hermitcraft. It's shortform, heavily structured, and doesn't lend itself to the kind of creativity demonstrated by the Hermits. f) SL excludes many of the Hermits, notably DocM, Zedaph, Joehills, and Xisuma himself. So, no, "most, if not all the Hermits" did not "move to" it, and, as you said yourself, they each only had three lives, which put a hard limit on how long the series could last, even if it didn't end before the end of season 9. I don't know whether or not you put much effort into this video, but I will say that it comes off rather cheap and Dunning-Kruger-y. As a Hermitcraft fan, I'd appreciate it if you at least pinned a comment acknowledging that there were some inaccuracies :)

i was an absolute hermicraft stan when my brother told me about in during season 6. i adored season seven so much and watched al throughout season 8. but when 9 started, i feel like i just kind of grew out of it. i mean they all post so much content its hard to keep up with it all anyways. i do like the sort of "__ life" series they do with the empires cast so i do keep up with those.

Leaving Hermitcraft for Mindcrack wasn't a bad move. The Mindcrack server had multiple runs of its own SMP coupled with hosting multiple charity's and awesome UHC events. Hermitcraft is a great server, but Mindcrack has had a lot of memorable events too.

Good video but the conclusion you drew at the end was dumb. Secret Life is the 5th series in the Life Series, an SMP series that was created by Grian at the end of Season 7. Not all the hermits were invited to the Life Series, nor did all of them want to participate. Unfortunately, 3 of the Life Series were scheduled during Season 9 which diverted a lot of time from some hermits.The life series is not the only series to run alongside Hermitcraft, ever heard of Vault Hunters, Tango's creat Mod Server, etc. Hermitcraft will return for Season 10 and I will be there to watch.
