I consider Christiane Amanpour to be a national treasure. We need more people, like her, in journalism.

Ms Amanpour is always a delight to learn from. Her insight and ability to explain and discuss the most difficult of situations is to be admired. Been a fan for 40years. She is still the best. Love her show.

Christiane is one of the best guests Stephen has ever had. These are very important issues for all of us around the world , and he has an international audience, so we as English people can also be informed. Maybe they should have more international segments in the show because there are many people watching who have no idea who some of the guests are at all. I do like the show a lot though. Stephen and the band are great!

We, the people, are not foggy about Ukraine. It is the Maga Republicans who are supporting Putin. We will get around those fools. We want to support Ukraine.

It is so rare to find such high quality journalism that covers such a wide range of perspectives without sensationalizing everything. She is a treasure that more people should seek out and learn from. I may watch her PBS show more than CNN, but I’m sure both are equally good.

What she's saying about people not being able to tolerate nuance is so true. A quick run through of social media can tell you that. If you're pro-Israel you're islamaphobic and supporting genocide, if you support Palestine you're an anti-semite nazi or if you're like me, and think they're both wrong, you're all of those things. We've lost the ability to criticize things without it somehow turning to extremes. You can't say anything critical about Israel without being labeled an anti-semite in the same way someone who says something critical about an LGBT person is *obviously* a homophobe. You can say "What Israel is doing in Gaza is out of line" without hating Jewish people, you can say "Those Palestinian protestors went too far" without hating Muslims. Now to be clear, there are of course people who really do just hate Jewish people and Muslims and so forth, but in our noble efforts to stamp out blatant hatred somehow the definition of it changed from "People who hate" to "People who don't agree".

We have forgotten who helped us when Britain was waging war against us. The French helped us, why can we not help another nation fighting for its independence. It is literally the way that our nation was founded.

I refuse to IGNORE the war in Ukraine. It's not just there, but it's affecting the USA, Europe and most of the real democracies around the world. I continue to support the Ukranian military forces, the civilians. They're trying to just have their own country under a free and sovereign government.

Ukraine just finally lowered the draft age to 25 from 27. Why is it not 18? If Ukraine is not willing to fight their own war, why should the US taxpayer subsidize the war?

*I am Ukrainian and I live in Ukraine now. Drones and missiles fly at us every day. Now the Russians have already knocked out all of our coal-fired power generation. Also, they have already hit the largest gas storage facilities several times.They will systematically continue to do this if we do not have help from the United States.* The main problems now compared to previous years: 1) Russia has a lot of people who are ready to die just like that in assaults. 2) Russia has strong allies that supply it with many weapons, technologies and ammunition. A lot. 3) Russia has great superiority in the air and destroys everything it can reach with its bombs and missiles. Ukraine is not ready to lose so many of its people. Ukraine does not have that many shells. Ukraine does not have air superiority. Ukraine does not have sufficiently strong anti-aircraft defense that can shoot down ballistic and hypersonic missiles. If you give us enough Patriots, F-16s with the necessary weapons, enough shells and equipment, then we could at least deter Russia. But we cannot get even the minimum requirement. Then please tell me how can we face the 2 armies of the world in alliance with China, Iran and North Korea?In such a situation, we are doomed to loss and death. Therefore, please demand from your politicians the approval of support for Ukraine, we really need it! 😢❤

Canada has committed $4 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. This funding will allow Canada to deliver military assistance to Ukraine through to 2029. If that doesn't show commitments to Ukraine, then I don't know what else to tell you.

Arguably you can do both Ukraine and Gaza though. Like there’s plenty of other less important stuff media is reporting on. Reports had fizzled out even before October. It’s the regular news cycle, they get obsessed with a topic then they forget about it. And the sad part is that with that people forget about it too if it doesn’t affect their day to day life. Good that she’s reminding people.
