Anya Taylor Joy
Anya Taylor Joy is very financially successful she has been in top grossing movies like:
The Witch, which grossed $40.4 million from the box office worldwide
Emma which grossed $26.4 million thanks to worldwide box office as well as The New Mutants, which grossing $18.6 million in domestic theaters during opening weekend
Glass, which earned a cool $247 million worldwide.
Anya also is the luxury brand Dior's newest global brand ambassador. Dior as well as Jaeger-LeCoultre.
In this video we will be talking about Anya Taylor Joy the beautiful and talented actress; who I first saw in the Queen’s Gambit; a series that I binge watched like a lot of people; it was so good.
Anya Taylor-Joy was born in 1996 in Miami, Florida to her father Dennis who was a former banker and her mother Jennifer who was a psychologist. Her parents were on vacation in Miami at the time of her birth, and her American citizenship is recognized due to the laws based on where a person is born. Her father has English and Scottish ancestry with Argentine roots and her mother has a British diplomat father and a Spanish mother. She is the youngest of six siblings, with four of them being from her father's previous marriage.
Anya Taylor-Joy began her acting career at a young age, starting with modeling before transitioning to acting. She made her acting debut in a stage production of "The Importance of Being Earnest" when she was only six years old. Later on, She began her professional acting career in 2011, After that, she appeared in several short films before making her feature film debut in the 2015 horror film "The Witch". She then landed a role in the 2016 film "Split" which helped to boost her career and since then she has starred in several critically acclaimed films such as "Emma" and "The Queen's Gambit" and established herself as a talented and versatile actress.
Anya has always fought with some insecurity with the way she looks. As a child she was bullied for being weird looking and that was something that may have stuck with her.
Anya may have had many plastic surgeries at a young age. We will be talking about blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty , buccal fat removal and many other procedures.

I think it would be really interesting if you could do a video where you compare the ageing process of someone with plastic surgery vs. someone with no plastic surgery, because I think it becomes so easy to justify the structural changes of celebrity faces by just passing it off as ageing, maturing, makeup, lifestyle change etc.

She didnt have all that work done. That is complete nonsense. The angles are just different, and everyone's face matures from the age of 19 to 25. It's possible she didnt like the underage circles and did something, but she did not have cheek implants and jaw reconstruction and nose job and eyebrow lifts and a million other things. If she had that much work done she would look weird, and she doesnt. She probably gets botox.

As for the people who called her “weird” as a child, it’s a shame they said those things. She DOES NOT look like the average woman, she has unusual features and looks STRIKINGLY beautiful. THAT is part of what makes her so beautiful. Beauty is often attributed to scarcity and the rareness of something. I don’t think I’ve even seen a woman that looks like her. It is precisely WHY she is so beautiful. She’s one of a kind - like any great masterpiece.

I knew she’d had some work done, and while she looks otherwordly stunning, I think her case is one of unnecessary perfectioning that is on the brink of becoming “enough, let’s stop here”. Her beauty was already striking (and unique!) before. Hollywood makeup, hairstyling and overall styling would have done the rest. Still, she’s incredibly beautiful, but her beauty is so unique the last thing she needs is to become more “polished” (which could take some of her most striking features away and make her look more “Hollywood generic”)

We all think that looking generic hurts these actresses but it doesn't. Ana de Armas did what Anya did and it only helped her. A more generic face is a more marketable face. And nowadays actresses are expected to be brand ambassadors as well as performers. Typical beautiful face = more money. An unusual face may be less enticing to customers.

As someone who was bullied for most of my childhood for my appearance, I really have a lot of sympathy for Anya. I’ve gone back and forth myself on plastic surgery, I grieve the fact that I will never look “conventionally attractive.” Now, at 20, I’ve resigned myself to letting go of the idea of getting surgery, but I can’t say that if I had all the resources Anya does, I wouldn’t do the same. What you said at the end about Anya Taylor-Joy perhaps being persuaded by a plastic surgeon really made me open my eyes and consider how many other young stars have been persuaded in this same manner. You're right that these changes are so minimal and precise, how would a normal person know what to alter on their face or body to make them seem more appealing to the eye? She obviously lost a ton of weight since then and that’s practically the only visible change i can see from my point of view. She practically looks the same and still has that “baby face” look. @@thehardercandy the problem with that logic is that in showbusiness someone new can come in and overtake you in relevance at any time. Fame is very fickle. You can be on top one second and then nothing the next. So agents will tell actors, and especially actresses, to "ride the wave" that they have because the industry can lose interest at any second. So there's no guarantee that you'll have time to age into roles. You may have been pushed out by then. And you better believe in Hollywood, they will cast a younger actress with artificially maturized features rather than an older actress with naturally maturized features.

And one could also guess, that in the 2023-picture she just holds her eyebrows a little higher (as facical expression). Also the nose doesn´t look much different in these two pictures to me, as well. In the 2023-pic there ist a lot shadow, which enhances here nostrils. And the nostrils can be also already seen in the 2015-pic. So for me it seems more like an optical picture difference. But that are just my thoughts. Nobody knows ;-).

Her wide set eyes give her an ethereal, fairy-like essence (think Halle Bailey). She's so beautiful before and after and I think her beauty comes from her unique eyes too. Edit to add: The quotes you shared, Lorry I think show that any woman, no matter her beauty can have issues with self-confidence. Beautiful women are often mistaken for being vain and full of themselves, yet in reality are oftentimes overly self-critical due to bullying at a young age. I can relate to that and it hurts my heart. Thank you Lorry! ❤️

I, personally, like how she looked before all the surgery. I like the natural beauty she was. I think that the bullying she experienced is something that beautiful, talented, smart people can experience at a young age when other children may feel threatened by someone's beautiful striking uniqueness. Anyway, that's my opinion...

@11:00 she should ha\ve left the surgery there. So sad. She ruined her face imo, the weight loss does not help either. @11:42 pre surgery she looked so natural, she didnt need any surgery but she's in an industry where you get judged on your looks. Must be hard to stay normal, sane. When your surrounded by really gorgeous women its hard not to compare.

Man, it is so sad that individuals who are so beautiful with their traits are socialized to believe they're weird looking and that having features not conventional on a "standard", that can't even be fully agreed upon, are deemed as weird or in put into negative connotation. As you said, certain things just stick with you, even if you do understand that others find you beautiful, you just can't get over that you don't see the same thing :(

The unique shape of her droopy lower lashline was her signature (and probably one of the things she was bullied for🥺). The cheek lift has modified it and now this curve has almost disappeared. I figure out how difficult must have been growing up with "mystical fairy-otherwordly creature" downturned wide set eyes😓. One more procedure, and they will become oblique... 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

I first saw her in The Queens Gambit like most others. I find her captivating as an actress and her face is unique and interesting. Being beautiful isn't as important as being interesting. Kathryn Hepburn wasn't beautiful, but she was fascinating to look at, like Anya. I hope she is satisfied with her face now because it's what's made her unique and not a Hollywood rubber stamp. I do pray she doesn't loose any more weight and doesn't succumb to pressure by her agent or anyone else. She's perfect just the way she is.

This new buccal fat removal trend has got to stop. She used to be stunning and now she looks like the typical instagram model. 😭 You will never see this trend fly in Asia. Buccal fat is what makes you look youthful and removing it just makes people look gaunt and older. I doubt it will age well either. It's different from if you have natural sharp cheekbones. I bet this trend will go away in a few months and then the celebs will be injecting fat and fillers back into their cheeks.
